Does Bush Want Americans To Spy On Each Other?

The Postal Service CANT join TIPS. This would leave the government open to inspection. What they want is people acting and snooping on their own so when something bad goes down the government can claim they weren’t a part of it -that the TIPS Agent was acting on their own.

If the postal service were a part of it, then the citizen could hold the government accountable. Or, that the govenment was doing an illegal search via Mr Speedy Delivery.

I can’t see this catching on. The Postal Service announced they would have no part of it, and it seems to have even both political extremes united against it. Heck, it even prompted the ACLU to praise Dick Armey, since Armey thinks the program is insidious.

AAAAAAAND…it’s dead.

… and the entire country breathes a collective sigh of relief.

Except the White House, of course. Now they’re holding their breath.

In that link, the ACLU is praising Dick Armey. Yes, DICK ARMEY.

I picked a hell of a week to stop sniffing glue.

Obviously the program was so bad, it wasn’t worth leaving any tips.
