Does Duck Make You Sick?

Duck season!

Only when not prepared properly. Breast of duck can be wonderful with the skin on, provided its crisped appropriately.

Fattened duck/goose livers though, are quite fatty…and friggin’ tasty!

My mom says this about duck, but she’s only had wild, and claims it was very gamey.

Yes, dick makes me suck…wait, no, I mean suck makes me dick - er, no, duck makes me suck. Ugh. No, it’s sick that makes me duck. And it’s greasy, too.

then it isn’t quite done - let it boil a little longer.

If duck is on the menu, I will order it, in any form. My local Costco had frozen confit about a year ago and I bought as much as I could fit in my freezer. Then they had half of a roasted orange duck and I bought as much of that as I could fit in my freezer. If they ever get foie gras, I’m buying a chest freezer.

ETA: This was the Costco that was in the nice part of town, which often has significantly different things than the Costco closest to my home. I drive the extra 10 minutes for the good selection.
