I won’t be there, so I won’t really care. I have no real objections to a memorial for the benefit of the living (I suspect a funeral will be impractical, I want my remains disposed of in accordance with Leftover Soup #408), but it literally makes no difference to me.
If my stepdaughter wants to say kaddish for me … that would be weird, because she’s not Jewish and I’m not religious.
