Does Laura Bush ever wear short sleeves?

This is a rather odd question, but I figure this might be the best place to shed some light on the subject.

Are there any photos available of First Lady Laura Bush wearing short sleeves? (perhaps from the inaugural?) My mom insists that she’s never seen Laura Bush in short sleeves, and thought it was a bit unusual, especially since Mrs. Bush comes from Texas. I thought about it a little bit, and I could not specifically recall seeing Mrs. Bush wearing short sleeves. Then again, I don’t typically follow First Lady fashion all that closely, so perhaps this perception is inaccurate.

If it is true that Laura Bush never (or almost never) wears short sleeves, is there a particular reason? (i.e. Is it just a fashion preference, or is there some reason she doesn’t want to show her arms?)

The first 30 pages of a google images turned up nothing, but at the same time, the first 5 pages (as far as I felt like going) for “Hillary Clinton” also had no short sleeves.

The fact is, women’s suits (what first ladies usually wear) don’t tend to come in short sleeves.

Also, I just checked. Neither Mrs. Clinton nor Mrs. Bush wore short sleeves to their husband’s inaugural balls.

She is slightly self-conscious about that tattoo she got in college. I told her a rose or a butterfly would be appropriate for a lady, but she had to get that flaming skull with the “Hottest Head” banner…

Well, after a “certain age”, we ladies tend to get that “underarm dingle-dangle” thing, so, unless we’re housewives slopping around the house all day in a t-shirt, or unless we truly don’t give a damn what people think, we tend to cover it up.

Laura and Hillary, being either politicians or married to politicians, almost certainly do give a really big damn what people think.

P.S. People in Texas tend to bundle up, as the A/C can be murderous. I lived in Dallas for a while, and I always took a sweater with me to the mall, 'cause it was always freezin’ in there…

To amplify DDG’s post, I work with(and lust after) a few women at work who are in their 50’s. They seldom wear short sleeved things that expose their upper arms. They just don’t want you to see their “grandma” arms. Also, women of this age and older quite often start to get a tummy. It’s just age. Nature. They are rightly sensitive.

Those of us who are mature men accept, ney, appreciate these signs of aging. We have examined our own manly bodies in the mirror after showering.

Seriously. All you people who aren’t 40 yet. Start looking over your shoulder. They’re gaining on you, and even Satchel Paige couldn’t hold back time.

I’ve seen pictures of Laura Bush from the days when G.W. was running for Congress, and she was wearing short sleeves.

The real question is whether Laura Bush ever wears short-shorts.
[sub]Please God, let the answer be no[/sub]

She was selected as one of People magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People last year, **Ukelele Ike. Perhaps you disagree with her husband’s politics, but don’t take it out on her. She is an attractive woman.

Attractive?! Whoa, let’s not go nuts.

To be fair to each side of the U.S. political spectrum, I have no great desire to see Hillary’s thighs, either.
