Grindr, if anyone here doesn’t know, is a hookup site for gay men, and it gets a lot of traffic whenever Republican men gather, and reportedly crashed during Charlie Kirk’s memorial service.
Now, for me, if he is or isn’t, I really don’t care because it’s not my relationship, but if this persistent rumor is true, he at least needs to be honest with himself.
I’m saying this, because I found this video earlier today, which includes footage from a German TV program showing Mike and his daughter Hannah at her “purity ball.” Barf. ETA: His Wiki page says it was filmed in 2015, when she was 13 years old.
The “source” of this is an anonymous person on TikTok who goes by “razzledazzmo”, who has yet to provide any proof, just an accusation, so I’m going to go out on a limb and say “no”.
You really should not trust random YouTube videos making sensational claims that would be all over the legitimate news if they even had a shred of credibility.

The source for your assertion is highly questionable. It is basically click bait. We expect posters in P&E to strive to use high quality sources for their information and resulting assertions. You have a history of relying on similar dubious sources for your opinions. In future, start such threads in the Pit. If you open them in P&E, they will be closed.
Also, we expect posters to state at least a bare summary of what their intention is for starting a particular thread. You have clearly decided that Mike Johnson is secretly gay and based on this unproved conclusion, you seem to be implying that he’s a massive hypocrite. All true, if the underlying assertion is true. Which is why we want you to make a better effort in future for your links.
We will leave it to the community to express why this is such a poor P&E thread, within the bounds of P&E rules, of course. There might be a useful discussion here, but it’s not based on your link.
I don’t claim to have the world’s most finely-calibrated gaydar but Mike Johnson does set mine off, for what it is worth.
Having said that, even if he is as gay as a three-dollar bill, it should be noted that hypocrisy has yet to score a single casualty on the Republican side. They remain 100% immune to it. If a video leaked tomorrow of Johnson starring in an all-male orgy, they’d find a way to say it was okay for him to do it while still passing laws making it illegal for anyone else to do it.
That a parent would be that enmeshed in their kids’ sexuality is just…….weird……
The Grindr thing was just incidental to the purity ball video. I knew he was strange. I had no idea he was THAT strange, or that purity balls still happened in 2015.
A case could be made, if he was (say) actively working to remove legal protections from LGBTQ people, that his possible membership in that group might be considered the voters’ business. Just like if he were publicly declaring that there are 57 card-carrying communists in the State Department, it would be the voters’ business if he were himself a card-carrying communist or a communist stooge.
I do not know if he is pursuing those kinds of goals, I have not been aware of such activities from him personally. In general, I agree that a politician’s personal sex life is not the voters’ business.
