I think it can make one less bigoted. Until my eldest came out as bi, I never knew my wife was homophobic. 9 months later she’s at least personally accepting of our daughter, but it’s been a long row to hoe.
Less for sure. After my kids met other kids from different religious and cultural backgrounds (and were besties with some of them) any preconceived notions I had were thrown out the window.
And now my kids are having kids of their own…with every generation the prejudice gets diluted. Unless of course you’re a bigot who passes those genes down to your kids etc etc.
