Does 'report this post' link to the reported post?

I’ve reported a couple of posts recently, usually just writing something like “spam” or “troll: every post by this person has been an off-topic rant on the same subject” in the comment box. I just realized, though, that I never indicated to who or which post I was referring.

Is a link to the reported post included automatically with the report? Or have you guys just been rolling your eyes each time, asking “ok, idiot, so how are we supposed to know who you’re reporting this time?”

Yes, the link is included automatically with the report. Fortunately.

Prayers for the offenders, however, are not included automatically.

Is that one of the upcoming features?

No, but we’ll be able to purchase moderator indulgences.

Thank you. You are in my prayers.

Now stop playing with yourself.

I can’t believe you’d mention playing with yourself in a PUBLIC FORUM!

So which Mod/Admin will be speaking ex cathedra?

For every coin in the chest you drop
A soul from Purgat’ry does pop

Mmmm, indulgences!

You know, a funny thing happened to me on the way to the forum …

Sorry. There had been a second post, between mine and the OP, that mentioned prayer… so I was just being snide. Some other moderator has (correctly) removed the troll’s posts, so my comment now seems gratuitous.

Naw, it’s still funny.

I can’t believe you didn’t say PUBIC FORUM!

Related question: Does the report identify the member who clicked?

Yes. If you report a post, your user name tags along with the specific complaint. My current understanding is that we consider the complaints private, so I don’t reveal who complained about what.

Thanks, SkipMagic.
