The link for reporting posts is absent for posts by yourself, but does the machinery behind it still function?
I guess after I try reporting this post, I’ll know.
My post up top has an ID of 8335818, and following a link to http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/report.php?p=8335818 seems to have worked.
If a mod comes by to berate me, you can use this technique too! 
Yes. I tested this a couple years ago, when this question came up. Tuba got my report just fine.
And I got called a liar for it. :rolleyes: But that’s another story.

Not at all. I regard the incident with wry amusement. Unfortunately we don’t have any one smiley which adequately conveys that, and I try not to overuse them. But…
