I can’t tell you what I find so strange about this picture, but something sure is, at least to my eyes. It’s like her face is completely lopsided, or the picture is distorted somehow.
Oh and the movie looks astronomically sucky, too, though my husband wants to watch it. :dubious:
Eh, often she looks weirder. She has one eye pronouncedly higher than the other.

I didn’t know that. It would explain much.
Somehow, I’ve lived to the ripe old age of 34 and have never seen Shannen Doherty on any sort of moving medium. It’s always been stills, and very few of those.
It just looks like she’s put on a few pounds…puffy face, and the gap between her teeth is showing.
If you look closely, you can see where her real eyebrow should be (on the right side of the picture), and that explains why the fake eyebrow way above it looks funny.
Looking at it, it seems to me that where her quote-unquote real eyebrow should be is in fact where it normally is, only now the aforementioned eyebrow is higher up because she’s raising it. The faint line you can see there would probably be the top of her eye socket, which would normally have the eyebrow lined up with it if she didn’t have it cocked like that.
Just for kicks I did a quick replacement of her eyebrows which you can see here.
Not a pro job, but still, I think it makes her face look more normal. It’s still a funny expression though.

I used to think she was quite pretty, but recently less so.

Yeah, she’s always had a lopsided face. Back when she was on magazine covers more often I noticed that she typically posed with her head titled at a specific angle. I guess she learned by how much her eyeball was off from the other and would adjust so it wasnt as immediately obvious.

Back when she was on 90210, my roommate and I would call her “old crooked-face” and wonder how, of all the gorgeous women in Hollywood with symmetrical faces, old crooked-face got the part. It has always been screamingly obvious to me.
She obviously has the ability to blackmail Aaron Spelling for three years at a time.
