does "song of the south" soundtrack have any real collector value?

I see in a bookstore an 1963 copy of the soundtrack to “Song of the South.” Its about $3. Is there any real collector value to this album? THe cover looks in pretty good shape, but don’t know about the vinyl itself.

I find nothing specific on ebay, or on a search of this site.

I don’t know, but the used DVD is $215 on Amazon.

I had to hear it a zillion times when I worked at a movie theater in the '70s, but I was never able to decipher the words in the spiritual that the slaves sing after the boy has an accident and they’re not sure if he’s going to make it or not. If you get it, please let me know the words.

I think this is the song you’re looking for.

Actually, they’re not slaves, it’s after the war. Pretty song.

Thank you!! This has bugged me for over 30 years! Well, not every day, but once in a while!

I felt compelled, upon learning of Françoise Hardy, to google her name with Bob Dylan’s. Surely innovators in the same medium and time crossed each others’ path. It turns out there is a tiny bit of history there.

I think you meant this to be in this room instead.
