Does the Vice President have gout?

THIS article says [bolding mine]:

Vice President Dick Cheney today was walking with the help of a cane because of what his spokeswoman said was a ‘‘re-occurrence of a pre-existing foot condition.’’ Cheney spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride would not give specifics of the vice president’s ailing left foot but said the condition was being treated with rest and anti-inflammatory medicine.

I’m wondering if he has GOUT and if the “anit-inflammatory medicine” is Indomethacin

Were there any past reports of Chaney having this?

According to his physician link
Cheney has been treated for several minor boots of goot. (I’m Canadian eh)

Gout? Yes.
Clout? No.

Well…that answers that! And it’s bad news for guys like me.
I’ve got f*@%ing gout. I haven’t been able to have a beer since my birthday on Halloween. All the different meds & diet changes do is reduce quality of life and put you on a slightly longer waiting list for when the little monster will strike again.

If indo & a cane is all they can do for the second most powerful man on Earth, what hope is there for us common folk?:frowning:

What, Bush has it too?

Gout? Cheney resembles Mister Potter from “It’s A Wonderful Life” more every day. All he needs now is a wheelchair and a lap shawl.
