Does this piss you off?

Ubermensch: Guess I wasn’t thinking of “boy bands” when I wrote this, but you are right, the typical 'boy band" has little to do with writing or producing their own music. But One Hit Wonders are not limited to boybands.

As for the Lawyers, they are more active in getting an act signed to a major record label. Once signed, material for airplay is ususally decided upon by insiders at the label.

I contend that the best music can be found on small independent labels that usually don’t have the recources to get their acts national radio airplay.

As for my own bitterness, maybe I’m exaggerating it a little. Perhaps I was bitter when I didn’t get signed myself, but now I realize that the music biz is a place where excellence is often ignored and mediocrity is often rewarded, and a musician has limited control over his or her own destiny.

But then again, what do I know. Music is subject to taste, and for all I know I might just have awful taste.

Look at his Bio - he’s from Freeman, MO - about 20 minutes from where I live.

The Prince: “Did you kill Jahamaraj Jah?”
Lady: “Yes.”
The Prince: “My Gods! Why?”
Lady: “His existence offended me.”

You can get almost any station in the U.S. on the net.

BTW, what ever happened to those quarter sized dishes that you mounted on your car? You were supposed to be able to recieve 40 music formats anywhere in North America with digital quality, for a nominal subscription fee. I read about them a few years ago when they said they were on the verge of coming out and being avialable to the general public.

avialable

Aw fuck it. I’ve got vial on the brain. Good Night.

The music I like never gets on the radio to begin with. So I rarely listen.
