I don’t know much about his personal, childhood, life.
Moved from Elections to IMHO.

It was in GD, but you know best…
I am not sure but it would explain those early years when he worked as a stripper in Times Square.
In all seriousness, “Daddy issues” are a mostly made up concept that mainly apply to younger women even if they do exist. I have never heard the term used for an older man. It isn’t hard to find out about Donald Trump’s background. He was born a rich kid, went to private boarding school and then was given money by his father to start his own real-estate empire with varying degrees of success (he has been “bankrupt” several times but rises up like a zombie Phoenix afterwards).
If you want to use trendy terms, I would go with “affluenza” with a healthy dose of Hefneritis thrown in.
Well shit. Never a post too short for me to mess it up.
Really? Because I remember a number of people applying the term to George W. Bush. Supposedly, the younger Bush resented his father because he preferred Jeb when they were growing up. So George wanted to both win his father’s approval and respect while also outdoing him and Jeb.
Personally, I find it implausible. I can’t imagine there’s anyone who was close enough to the Bush family to know this kind of intimate details about them but who would be willing to share it with outsiders.
This was a debate? It’s not even an assertion.
I’m sure he does. Most guys do.
I didn’t mean that condescendingly. The mod DOES know best. I was just correcting his saying that it was in the Election’s forum, which would have been even more off.
I really just wanted to ask other peoples opinions, because I wonder what kind of relationship a guy like him had with his father, if any at all.
Trump is too much of a narcissist to have daddy issues.
IMHO: Is the Pope a Catholic?
Same answer.
If anything wasn’t Donald his father’s golden boy, or orange rather. Wasn’t his father the one that showed him the ropes and let him use his contacts in the real estate business and gave him “loans”? I’m not sure what he actually died of but I know Donald had an older brother that supposedly drank himself to death and Trump claims he’s never had a sip of alcohol. Usually the oldest son is the most prized at least traditionally so maybe Donald was the favorite.
