I should point out, incidentally, that for Parliament to pass a law banning Trump from the UK would be a disgrace to their own nation. I dislike Trump as much as anyone but to pass what amounts to a bill of attainder solely to insult the head of state of a friendly nation is, to point out the obvious, the sort of thing I would expect only from Donald Trump.

There is a difference between uninviting someone from a ceremonial/honorific visit and actually barring them from entering the country. It would be hard to underestimate the insult he doled out, not only in presenting neo-Nazi propaganda as evidence of failings in our country, but also to our head of government (whatever my opinions of her) in insisting on the point when she criticised him for it. Diplomacy may have prevented her from publicly telling him you don’t fight terrorism by sitting on your backside tweeting all night, but if senior Conservatives in Parliament are outraged by him, he and his advisers ought to recognise they have a major problem on their hands - entirely of his making.
If Donald Trump had competent advisors, or listened to the few he has, we wouldn’t even be discussing this.

There is no question of banning the President of the United States from entering the UK. We are allies.
However you can decide what ‘level’ of visit to offer.
In this case, since Trump is an embarrassment, you don’t make it a full State Visit. It could be an Official Visit, for example.
