Does Wikipedia have an article on your high school?

Technically no, but in reality, yes; the actual building was torn down not too long ago after the new building was constructed nearby.

Famous alums: TMBG, Paula Poundstone. I am happy to remain in obscurity.

Which school in Durham did you go to? I went to Jordan for a year before I wound up at NCSSM.

Nope. It’s mentioned there in passing as a filming location for Smallville, though.

I think that’s about all it deserves.

Bonus points are good for five free posts in Cafe Society.
Have fun!

This one I figured would have a long entry, but it’s pretty short.

This one I figured would have next to nothing, but it’s got a longer one. (Apparently we had a school song; who knew?)

And the first one I went to doesn’t exist anymore; no page there.

I bumped into somebody from my high school on the Dope just last week. We’ll see if she gives this thread a look.

I’m kind of relieved to say no, it’s not. My hometown is, but there’s no mention of education or libraries. My hometown–Santa Maria, CA–is probably there because of Michael Jackson’s trial, really.

No, but the school’s radio station does. How odd.

Oh, and our arch-rival has a listing. Didn’t know that Mean Girls was partly inspired by UDHS.

I really wish I could say no, but unfortunately it is. :frowning:

Yep.
Both my current one and my old one .

We seem to have a lot of Dopers who went to non-public or non-traditional high schools.

I am quite proud of all the awesome schools you guys went to   Rock on!

Yes, Go Vikings!

I graduated in 80. I had NO idea that HF had a movie (with some real stars!) made on its campus. But Clinton did go speak there–that was cool.
I have no idea who famous alums would be (except for me, of course!)

Just barely.

There’s an article for the first school I went to, and an article for the school that’s technically on my diploma but which I never set foot in, but not for the one where I did the substantive portion of my work.

Ditto. (As in, my HS is on that list, but no article.)

However, I do know my HS has a website: I decided to visit it and wow! Looks like they finally got someone with skills and talent to put it together. Still hate the color scheme, but eh, nothing can be done about that.

<< As a computer, I find your faith in technology amusing. >>

Yes, though I won’t link to it, being paranoid (and it was only two years ago that I graduated). I’ll say, though, that we play Aholibah’s school.

hey, my parents were teachers there when he was there. How cool.

Yes.

Yes, which is really cool. .
