Rodney Dangerfield went to my elementary school. Ron Jeremy, Reginald VelJohnson and CIA director George Tenet went to my high school.
Anyone else?

Sarah Fisher, the auto racer, graduated from my high school the year before I did.
Two members of Weezer went to E.O Smith High School, the next twon over from me. I know its nothing.
Graduates from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD include:
Ben Stein
Goldie Hawn
Matt Drudge
(and also my father and three of my uncles, but it’s not like anyone cares about that.)
Absolutely no famous people have ever gone to a school I have attended.
I do, however, live 5 minutes away from the high school that Wayne Gretzky went to briefly.
What a tenuous connection.
** John ** How can you forget Connie Chung (who also went to Blair) How do I know this??? So did my SO.
As far as MY high school:
One of Peter, Paul and Mary. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Mary, but could never keep it straight if it was Peter or Paul. Whoever he was, he spoke at my graduation (you can tell he made a big impression)
(I won’t post his name here) BUT. Big time dope dealer. I mean really big time. When they busted him, they confiscated a couple million in case from his house, several slot machines, and race cars (he used to race cars with Paul Newman). It was SUCH a big deal that the “Detroit” magazine (news supplement that came out with the Sunday Free Press) did a cover page story on “the Fast life of …” (this was back in the 80’s). He spent some time in Canada fighting extradition, but escaped when he faked needing to go to the doctors, hid in Europe, eventually tried and convicted. When our reunion came around, although he was in a Federal prison by that time, he wasn’t listed, either by his address or as “we don’t know where he is”
High school: Grant Hill
College: Oh, just half a dozen presidents or so. And Glenn Close.
David Cone went to my high school.
The girl who played the wife of Eddie Murphy in Doc Doolittle.
The guy who supervises the background drawings on the Simpsons.
Madison, NJ High School:
Janeane Garafolo (sp?) and Neil O’Donnel (quarterback for the Titans)
Kelly McGillis (Top Gun, Witness), Ted McGinley (lots of bad sitcoms, Married With Children) went to Newport Harbor HS in CA.
Can’t remember who else, but I think there were more!
Oh duh, how could I forget Todd Marijuana-vich, the psuedo football player?
JFK (NOT jr.)
Adlai Stevenson
Michael Douglas
Ali McGraw
Jamie Leigh Curtis
Matt Brubeck
Rebecca Miller (daughter of Arthur, wife of Daniel Day Lewis, actress in her own right)
Edward Albee
That’s all I can think of right now that (whom) you may have heard of.
Lots of other really great people went there too. I was really impressed by the breadth and depth of what people were doing when I went to a reunion recently. Not everyone became a lawyer or banker, but artists, teachers, archaeologists, etc. But of course the world never hears about that. Oh well.
Glen Close went to my HS.
Does that make us cousins or something?
Nobody.
But the quiet guy from Penn and Teller used to teach Latin there.
Charlie Sexton went to my HS, but dropped out in 9th grade…anyone outside Texas remember him?
Other than that, nobody. Of course if we bring college into it…lots of famous folks went to the University of Texas. My fingers would fall off just trying to type all the names.
The only (somewhat) famous person I personally knew in college was Lt. Jeannie Flynn, the first female fighter pilot in the history of the US Air Force . Last I heard she was flying F-15E’s at Seymour-Johnson AFB. It’s odd seeing someone you know on “Larry King Live”…
kellibelli
You mean other than Dire Wolf?!?
Besides a few Olympic athletes, a Nobel Prize winner and a Space Shuttle astronaut (all of whose names won’t sound familiar), the list includes James Cagney, Theloneous Monk, Louis Mumford, Dick Morris, Roy Innis, Ben Gazzara, Sheldon Leonard, screenwriter Joseph Mankiewicz, Tim Robbins, Paul Reiser, Ron Silver, one or more of the Beastie Boys and soon-to-be Charlie’s Angel, Lucy Liu. Author Frank McCourt taught English there, but did not attend as a student.
And that’s just the A list.
Matthew McConahey (sp?–you know, who I mean–Contact, A Time to Kill, etc)
Neil McCoy (country singer) has a concert for charity in my high school’s gym every year.
As much as it pains me to admit it, Adam Sandler was a year behind me in high school.
