A tip from a SDMB user led me to Woot.com, where I bought a great birthday gift for my son and sent it to him in Pennsylvania. Now I get the Woot emails, and boy are there some good deals.
However, anything I put in my shopping cart, even something as innocuous as sheets, generates the message “this item cannot be shipped to Hawaii.”
Does anyone know if this is product-specific (hard to believe given the range of products I’ve clicked on), or if it generally applies to everything they sell? Is it always this way or is it a temporary situation related to Covid 19?
If they simply don’t ship any products to Hawaii, either temporarily or permanently, I wish the message would just say “We do not ship to Hawaii” instead of “this item can’t be shipped to Hawaii” which is misleading.
Grumble, grumble. It’s (one, not the only) price of living in paradise.
