You know, there is a reason that a guest account only lasts for 30 days…
I’m sure they already have a mail box of reports on me.
Well, I should hope so, what with your propensity to abuse animals.
No, this is the point. Instead of having the dog HUMANELY killed, your twisted relatives poison it.
I don’t buy the fact animal control released the dog(s) either.
Don’t care if you don’t believe it. I see no reason to believe that my sister would lie, especially about something like this. If you knew her, you’d know that too.
I see no reason why the neighbors (who, I believe, helped reinforce the impression that this pattern was not going to end) would lie either. And my dad’s dead, so I can’t ask him.
Tell you what, though. I’ll tell my sister that some people on an Internet message board are upset by a dog possibly being killed decades ago. She’ll instantly realize that it would have been ever so much better to wait for the dogs to kill the cats, so we could pay very high vet bills or watch the cat suffer a miserable, painful death.
Since I now realize that my memory (much to my embarassment) is quite faulty on this matter (I was pretty young at the time), I really can’t elaborate further on what happened. But I do know what kind of people my dad and sister are, and you don’t.
No, it would have been better to Humanely kill the Dog(s), instead of some sick, twisted poisoning. Who came up with that idea? Obviously, the dog wasn’t very aggressive if your father could hold it down long enough for your sister to inject it with insulin. If that could happen, why not attach a leash, and demand that the incompetent animal control officers handle the situation and have the dog(s) destroyed?
Like I keep on repeating, my memory, (as it turns out) is crappy on this so I don’t have all the answers. I do know that the impression left was that it was futile. That calling animal control wasn’t going to solve the problem, and that in the end, it was either the dogs or our cats. This was an impression that I believe (though my memory is faulty) that some dog-owning neighbors reinforced.
My sister, who is a big “animal loving weenie” (beyond all comprehension, believe me) still believes that this was the only option. She’s not happy about what happened, but she still feels like it was either that or watch the cats get their bellies ripped open.
That’s all I have to say. Continue to be outraged though. Knock yourself out.
I’m having a problem with cats and dogs. The cats jump on the truck, stand on the tool box, and piss all over the rear window. The dogs knock over the trash and piss all over the porch. I don’t live in rural area and I have no idea who these animals belong to. I don’t want to kill them because I really hate the thought of taking out someone’s pet. If they were dangerous it’d be another story but right now they’re just annoying. They’re not afraid of gun shots and they’re only marginally afraid of me. I suspect I’ll be getting a pellet gun to discourage them from stepping onto my property.

So…If an owner allows his/her high strung doggy run loose in traffic and onto others property, who in your mind is neglectful?

OK, I’m shutting down this thread. It was started by a guy who doesn’t want to ante up to continue to post, and he was quite possibly trolling to begin with. In any case, if he doesn’t want to pay to participate, he can’t have an open thread.
