Dogs, Sex, and Morality

If someone’s staying with you why wouldn’t you? It’s not like you can hire a babysitter for a grown woman.

Type zoophilia in your favorite search engine, aside from wiki entries the results are certainly going to be NSFW. Yes, this is something people do, I’m surprised that it’s so dismissed as purely urban legend. Rule 34 and all that.

I realize that it’s a real phenomenon, but the story still rang my bullshit-o-meter really hard, mostly because of a) it not being the girl’s dog and b) the girl’s reaction. Just because people really do, er, ‘things’ with their dogs doesn’t make this particular story true.

I’m not going to check, but I suspect you’d find those NSFW entries were things that men paid women to do to sell to other men. Not something that women spontaneously did and filmed. Really kinky stuff is, all else being equal, testosterone fueled, and that doesn’t fit the OP.

The two people (one man, one woman) that I know who claim to have tried this used peanut butter. Both stopped shortly into the act because the dog began to nibble, presumably because it had licked off the majority of the peanut butter and wanted to get at the remainder that wasn’t easily accessible.

Yep. Women are unsoiled doves who would never get turned on by the kinky stuff, no sirree !

lol

Nancy Friday’s contributors for My Secret Garden and so on must have been paid by men to describe their experiences and fantasies for other men, then; all the while believing they were providing material for a book written by women, compiled by a woman, for sale to women.

Word.

It’s being dismissed as an urban legend because it sounds an awful lot like a common urban legend. See for instance the Dan Savage column linked above, or the Snopes article “Lap Dog”. Since we’re getting the OP’s friend’s story secondhand it’s difficult to judge, but it does also seem to have unnecessary details (how are the nature of the friend’s injuries or the woman’s profession relevant?) of the kind that Savage considers suspicious.

I have no doubt one can easily find pornography depicting non-mainstream sex acts on the Internet, but that doesn’t mean it’s particularly likely that the OP’s friend unexpectedly walked in on a woman enthusiastically engaging in a non-mainstream and almost certainly illegal sex act on his apartment floor. And she’s supposedly a nurse? I’m sure there are kinky nurses in the world, but I feel like that’s something else one is far more likely to encounter in pornography and urban legends than real life. (Snopes actually mentions a known variant on the “Lap Dog” legend in which the woman is a nurse.) Unless the OP has actually met this woman I wouldn’t be too sure she exists at all, and even if she does the odds are very much against the friend’s story about her being true.

I hear women don’t even like sex! Movie related: Sleeping Dogs Lie. It’s a romantic comedy. No, really, it is!

That would be the least kinky thing in this thread.

That’s good to know! Not that I would try it, but I’d automatically suspect anyone who has a dog and a ton of peanut butter in the house but no bread

This reminds me of a thread someone on another messageboard started about the boy at their school who had claimed to like pleasuring himself with his dog, with something like peanut butter IIRC. What was notable about that thread was that almost every respondent knew of a similar story at their own school - someone who claimed to have done it (a very surprising number of teenage boys), or was rumoured to have.

What that Snopes article is missing in its dissection of how this is all about men’s fear of women’s sexuality is that it’s basically a symptom of men thinking even the nicest woman is secretly a bitch.

This is why my SECOND car, shortly after getting out of college, was an automatic.

Yup this one smells of urban legend - but on the other hand, sometimes the most urban-legendy-sounding stuff turns out to be true …

I would never believe this wasn’t an urban legend if I heard of it through the grapevine.
