"Don’t Eat The Laundry Pods"- Short Film - Pure genius!

Pure genius! Marvelously done!

I must have blinked and missed the “genius” part.

They are delectable looking and feeling. He gets the tension of the irresistible impulse just right.

I feel like maybe my expectations were a bit too high. Genius is such a strong word.

Cudos for the riff on American Beauty, but otherwise, meh.

I’m not getting the genius either. No offense really but that’s not even funny enough to recommend to my friends.

Really? Huh. I usually quite enjoy CH Originals. Some are actually kinda clever (“Every app is a dating app”, anyone?)

The Laundry Pod sketch is on of the few I turned off half way. It looked like a simple, random premise being dragged for way too long. Now I’ve finished to see if there was a “genius” part at the end, and nope.

It’s a weird choice to make a thread about.

The OP should have said that this was a College “Humor” video. As usual, definitely not worth the click.

I once called BS on a similar concept, in another thread, but that one wasn’t played for laughs.

FWIW, Astro, I liked this clip better than the one in my thread.

I kinda liked this video. The “If Google Was a Guy” videos are hilarious, IMHO.

I thought it was fairly funny. Not the funniest thing I ever saw, but got a chuckle out of it.

I first thought it was a joke all along, but some googling has led me to believe that such laundry pods actually exist (and have been considered a potential threat to young children). So, how the hell are they supposed to work? Are the two compartments somehow designed to break and release their contents at different points in the washing cycle?

I think you’re just paying for it looks cool and you don’t have to measure it.

I say, as I buy basically the same things for the dishwasher.

I actually never noticed how enticing those things looked before. It’s the dishwasher pods we have in the house here, too, and a couple of weeks ago my wife warned me not to leave them in the reach of our kids, as apparently, they are enticing to children and kids want to stick it in their mouths. (And I can see why.) Now after watching the video (which I didn’t really find all that amusing), I can’t help but look at the laundry pods and want to bite into them.
