Donald Just Lost The Election

Are you a black person with an ethnic name in a position of respect, power and authority? Stuff like that matters in these situations.

I’m sure the Secret Service is thrilled with the potentially higher risk that would put her detail in.

Seems pretty clearly to be a gun control comment. “Hilary wants to keep her guns, but doesn’t want you to have any.”

Have you heard how SS agents are supposed to jump in front of a bullet. At this point I expect the ones following Trump will jump in the opposite direction, if it comes to it.

I love how white liberals like to presume and expect how all Black people will feel about an issue. Maybe Black people want to see Obama’s birth certificate too. Has there been a poll?

Exactly. It is an accusation of hypocrisy, not a call to action.

 No other possible explanation, huh? Because no such questions were raised by any other President born to a Kenyan father and spend time outside the U.S. as a young boy?

Sigh.

Piffle.

After it was explained with evidence how wrong the points from the birthers like Trump were years ago, the issue should had been dropped back then.

Continuing after the proper explanations were made does point to something else as the reasons to continue the nonsense and Trump had to add another dumb and wrong talking point to try to hide his stupid reasoning.

Unfortunately, it came out as a little of both. He calls it hypocrisy…and suggests that Clinton would come to harm because of it. He’s put that very same foot in his mouth before.

Obama publicly posted his Hawai’ian birth certificate on his campaign website in June 2008, and the State of Hawai’i issued the first of multiple statements verifying its authenticity that autumn. After those two events, what (reasonable) questions needed to be asked?

As near as I’ve been able to tell, Donald Trump got involved in birtherism only AFTER the State of Hawai’i had verified they had Obama’s authentic birth certificate on file denoting his birth in Honolulu. At that point in time, what other possible explanation for the birther antics can you articulate?

Clearly the sort of thing that demands a special prosecutor. Several.

So why did Trump ever get involved? Obama released his birth certificate in 2008. Trump doesn’t appear to have started talking about it until 2010. There was nothing left to “look into” in 2010.

Most succinctly: “No.”

Born to an American citizen and in the United States.

His “exoticness” was his skin color and his name.

And y’know, human nature being what it is I can even excuse a brief racist bit by some of this country … the pushing it with stories about investigators and onwards for years? That was beyond usual levels. Lying more along the way even as you try to walk it back?

That is pure Trump.

Yes, the most important polls of all: 93 percent of the African American vote in 2012.

The only poll that counts.

Many people say that Ohio is not a state. I’ve read it all over. Many, many people.

Yes – after the birth certificate and all the other evidence was released in 2008, and journalists looked and found zero evidence he was born anywhere but Hawaii, there was no other possible explanation. What possible one is there, in your mind, considering that there was not a shred of reason to believe he was born anywhere else, once all that info was public in 2008?

Your site says he lied. About what? It also says that Trump started the rumor. That’s not true:

Trump’s claim that the rumor started with the Clinton campaign is true. It also appears to be true that the campaign worker acted independently was promptly fired. But then there’s Sidney Blumenthal. He was not technically part of the campaign, but given their close relationship, to think that he acted without Clinton’s knowledge is difficult to believe. But the fact remains that Trump did not start this rumor.

I never paid much attention to it, but I seem to recall that there was a particular form of the north certificate that Trump and others wanted to see, and that Obama refused to reveal it for quite some time. I see nothing wrong with wanting assurances that anyone holding the office—or any office—meets the eligibility requirements. Now anyone who is of the mind today that Obama doesn’t meet the eligibility requirements seems to be just clinging on to some desperate nutty fantasy that Obama shouldn’t be in the White House.

He released the short form that he had in his possession. The long form is held by the State. Only the State can release that.

He didn’t even have it. It was a state form that isn’t kept by individuals. He released all the information he had in 2008. It was not at all reasonable, in any way whatsoever, for anyone to believe that this information was not sufficient proof of his birthplace.

In 2011, finally, the state of Hawaii agreed to release the long-form. But there was no reason for anyone to doubt the earlier forms, except for racism.

There were plenty of such assurances in 2008. Every possible assurance. Again, there was not a single shred of evidence for any person to believe he was born anywhere else, and tons of evidence he was born in Hawaii.

Trump was still a birther for many years after 2011, when the long-form was released. Why? Why did he continue pushing this bullshit, evidence-free racist crap for 5 years after 2011?
