What? He didn’t come back?
December 20 is generous. I’ll take Dec 15th.

If people want to worship veterans and their opinions, I’m all for it. However, no one worships me nor pays heed to my opinions (or maybe they did as NYC was overwhelmingly blue except for Staten Island, and who gives a fuck about them…) and I’m a veteran.
My niece is graduating from West Point next year. She’s not happy with Trump and I got the impression that he’s not especially popular with her classmates aren’t either, but they’re going to be military officers so he will still be shown the same high levels of respect any President is when he speaks at graduation this Spring. Of course this is Trump so he may just not bother showing up and send Pence instead.
There will be a gleaming pot of adulation to be had. No power on Earth would stop him.
**Donald Trump gets hero’s welcome at Army/Navy football game.
**Was it the Russian Army-Navy game?
да.
Wouldn’t that be just a trip? A bunch of Russians sig-heiling the American President?
Huh? Not the military I was in. I could have told you the military would love him the moment he announced he was running, probably even before that. His saying he was going to make the military strong again was just icing on the cake. Trump is exactly like people in the military, except a lot richer of course.
Of course, based on the poll linked early, the truth is actually in the middle, just a little bit than half of the military people polled reported to be in favor of Trump. Much less for Clinton of course, but not really 100% in favor as the trolling OP implies.
In all fairness, the MAJORITY of the people in America agree with me.
Military people who are tough supporting someone who talks tough. Hardly surprising.
Not to mention he dissed both teams during his interview.
You were expecting a bunch of military cadets to boo the commander-in-chief?
You’re projecting.
Given that Trump won 46% of the popular vote, and the military has long leaned Republican, I think that quite possibly at least one-third to half of the cadets at the game who met Trump personally, supported him.
So no, not “each of them.”
This is correct too. It’s not like the cadets could have given Trump the public cold shoulder and not suffered consequences.
I doubt it. Honor, duty country, etc. Hard to reconcile those words when you have to salute known pathological liar, knowing full well he’s failed to EVER live up to the honor code they’ve lived by for 4 years.
“A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.” Kind of sounds like they were talking about Trump doesn’t it?
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
I think it’s fairly obvious why too many people support Trump. The man talks tough. Now, mind you, he doesn’t actually say anything; it’s just his words sound tough.
Just think how much they’d love him if he had ever served in the military.
Oh right…bone spurs or something.
Keep in mind - these are officer candidates who are presumably planning on a career in the military. As such, they’re going to be (and I believe they already are) subject to the UCMJ, which makes it a court-martial-able offense for an officer to direct “contemptuous words” at the president.
If I were a cadet, I certainly wouldn’t want to be seen publicly disrespecting the president, regardless of whether I liked him or not.
