In a spectacular shower of stupidity, Domino’s regales us with the riveting tale of a delivery boy dashing forth with delicious* disks to the Donald’s den. I suppose Trump thought he was doing some sort of ironic self-parody, but really he just comes across as a moron when he tries to offer a new deal to the pizza dude that isn’t any different from what the dude just said. In any case, why is he even appearing in a pizza commercial? Is he hard up for cash or what?

It’s all about timing. Trump is hot with The Apprentice, so the pizza folks make him a big offer to play off that.
One of the tasks for the hopefuls in The Apprentice in Season 3 (I think S3) was to make a new pizza for Domino’s. Both teams tanked on the task and Donald appeared in the real Domino’s ads to as atonement for their suckitude.

Just a shout out that the “pizza dude” in that commercial is the ridiculously talented Michael Arden, who is quite the darling of the New York theatre scene right now. Voice of an angel, delivering pizza to the Don.
