It’s 9PM, it’s got to be big. Trump is a TV guy, he understands what 9PM means. This won’t be like the 1st Trump admin when the FBI would announce a big press release at 3PM and turns out to be they busted 6 Canadians running a counterfeit postage stamp ring.
My doomer money says he’s rolling out his whole “fentanyl is WMD” and “all critics are now terrorists” messaging. I think he understands that his distractions are getting less effective and he’s got to (a) start menacing people more directly, and (b) actually start bagging/disappearing some high-profile critics to really make that fear sticky in people’s minds.
So the “fentanyl is WMD” plan serves the purpose of unlocking bigger military spectacle, and a different population of people to harass, and “all critics are now terrorists” is self-explanatory.
Both of these are reportedly already in the pipeline, so the only question is if 9PM tomorrow is when they drop.
He’s an incoherent liar, as well as a malignant monster. I never bother listening to him. I could just replace everything he says with LIE-HATE-RAPE-STEAL-HURT-RUIN without missing any actual information, and at least then I wouldn’t have to hear him gibber.
One quarter will be lies about how great the economy is doing.
One quarter will be lies about how he never met Jeffrey Epstein.
One quarter will be lies about how everything is Joe Biden’s fault.
The remaining quarter will be the mystery topic. Nobody, including Trump, knows what he’ll talk about in this segment. Will it be snakes? Will it be windmills? Will it be circles? Will it be stairs? Will it be tennis? These are all topics Trump has wandered into during past speeches.
Not a chance. If I want to hear whining and temper tantrums, I’ll go see the grandkids.

As to this broadcast, it’s bad enough listening to him and watching his face, add to that the breathless commentators and analysts who will follow him that I can’t stand, and that makes it a hard pass.
I hope he’s going to toss a coin. I’d tune in to see that. Otherwise, I’m off to schedule that colonoscopy.
This actually seems likely to me. It’s a combination of his ever-increasing incoherence (when he wasn’t great to start with) and the fact that shit is approaching the fan. If he can spin it as noble self-sacrifice while simultaneously throwing Vance into said shit, he might go for it, especially if he has been promised some sort of immunity / pardon.
Alternatively, the arrest of a prominent Democrat on a treason charge.
Really really unlikely, IMO. His ego, and love of power, will keep him from every willingly stepping down, and his delusion about his own perfection will keep him from ever publicly admitting that he has a serious health condition.

The “peace President” is going to announce an ultimatum to Venezuela, shortly followed up by a military attack.
He will drift off-script and attack Rob Reiner, Ukraine, his Chief of Staff, and the Democrats. At some point he will circle back about his health plan to replace ACA (how many promises since 2016?), mention how great the First Lady is, and congratulate Jr on his marriage announcement.
Or maybe the world will get lucky and we all will watch him suffer apoplexy …
