So you’d pay taxes on that amount no problem?
Ahhhhh, now you’re finally seeing the problem! I can’t tell you one price and the IRS another, yet that is precisely what Donald Trump has done up and down the list of assets.
Appreciate the admission that falsifying valuations to the IRS is a criminal activity.
Wrong yes, criminal (maybe not?)
I don’t know why it’s confusing some of you that people people who break the law are criminals.
good one!
It might rise to criminal (but if it is criminal at all), payable with a fine.
I break this law all the time when I protest the property value I am taxed upon …
What do you think of Trump University, the get rich quick scam that Trump ran? In case you didn’t know this, it wasn’t a branding deal. Trump envisioned it himself and owned an 80% stake in the scheme.
A. It was probably a great opportunity, and totally legitimate!
B. It was sleazy but not illegal. Anyone that believes Trump is stupid and deserves to lose their life savings.
C. American Way, baby! It’s a dog eat dog world. I only wish I’d been smart enough to figure out how to scam old and poor people.
D. Ouch! I can’t answer, the cognitive dissonance hurts my head.
E. Other. Please elaborate
Because this is what I don’t get. People that are insanely wealthy and steal the life savings from the vulnerable elderly and unemployed just to prove that they can deserve to occupy the hottest circle of hell in my book. It’s been the only data point I’ve ever needed regarding Trump.
I don’t understand how anyone with a vulnerable parent on a fixed income, or anyone that’s experienced the desperation that comes with unemployment can condone the callous exploitation of these vulnerable groups.
I don’t get it. I’ve been wondering since 2015. It actually throws me into despair that so many people are totally OK with this.
Not if you break the tax code, which is a law. You are only a criminal if your tax cheating rises to a Criminal fraud charge. Those are quite rare.
Due to trumps self admitted audits, saying he is a 'cheat" is pretty much stating a foregone conclusion. However, saying that that cheating has risen to criminal tax fraud is unlikely- but possible.
What are you talking about? What fake news?
News about fakes?
I think i align with both of those but I am unsure how to make it not happen. In the world today, there are a lot of things that are completely legal that are sleazy AF.
That I wouldn’t do
That I’d probably criticize
That are legal.
who are you adressing?
Apparently a spammer or sock that got disappeared.
To clarify: The now-disappeared poster said “fake news”, and I responded.
article on his debts
Donald Trump Has At Least $1 Billion In Debt, More Than Twice The Amount He Suggested
I guess that’s going to drop his Forbes ranking by a few spots. With all his tax shenanigans he pulls, do we know if that’s real debt or if it’s some phony debt that he’s using as a tax dodge?
I don’t agree with all of this. But I do agree with most of it.
I guess being a billion in debt still makes one a “billionaire” of sorts.
Sure. If you own two billion dollars worth of properties and owe a billion on the mortgages, you’re a billionaire. You might be a billionaire with a temporary cash flow problem but that doesn’t change the basic math.
Reading transcripts of his makes my brain hurt. There are tens of millions of voters who think Trump is brilliant and hilarious and that makes me fear for humanity.
Bumped.
Since this is the subject of a new thread, I will close this one.
