try the " it ain’t real danger " interpretation.**
Your logic hinges on your assumption that if it were a real danger, then the media wouldn’t or shouldn’t publicize it.
So what were you blaming the media for, again?
They are unfair.
Same trick as octopus, huh? Say something both outrageous and slightly ambiguous, and when people paraphrase, rather than clarify any misunderstanding, turn the whole thing into an argument about whether their paraphrase is accurate.
It’s a ridiculous way to carry on a discussion, but at least it keeps you from having to confront the implications of your ideas, so there’s that.
??? you are
Then help me understand what you meant. My interpretation of your statement is: we know the outrage is fake, because if the media really thought Trump’s statement had the danger to incite violence, they wouldn’t report and publicize it.
Which assumes that the media would censor statements that would actually incite violence. I am questioning that assumption.
how the heck is " faux outrage " a misunderstanding ? :D:
Do you honestly believe that’s what he meant? Look again at what he said:
If he was talking about before the election, why is there nothing you can do, except maybe for the “Second Amendment people”? Are they the only ones who can vote? And why would them voting mean it was a horrible day?
You can say “He didn’t really mean it” or “It was a bad joke” or whatever, but I find it extremely hard to see how you could look at those words and think that at that moment he didn’t have some sort of post-election action by gun owners in mind. His words just don’t make sense otherwise.
The outrage is real–although it may not yet be sufficient to prevent the danger of there ever being a President Trump.
How unfair. Trump speaks in front of cameras & the results are presented to the world.
To be fair to him, the media should wait until the next day, when Trump’s surrogates can explain what he meant. It’s so unfair that they present his actual words on the very day he spoke them!
Notice John L’s join date, people. I ain’t saying anything else.
what media **might do. **??
He had me at
It would be really helpful if you could at lest post complete sentences.
You use “:D” a lot-Are we to interpret this to mean that we shouldn’t take you seriously?
But you admit that what made that election memorable in the first place was RFK being assassinated. Out of all the ways to make the point that a race isn’t over yet and she innocently picks the one example from 40 years ago involving a candidate being killed. Yeah…no. Love her or hate her, Hillary isn’t a free associator who say the first random thing that pops in her head. She was exploiting fears about Obama being an assassin’s target.
The question of when a losing candidate should drop out of a race is pretty standard when it comes to presidential campaigns, so there really was no reason for her to deviate from a standard response. That is what makes the gaffe so telling.
soon as i finish quotation lessons .
ya’ll like this interpret & assume i see .
