Ha, I opened this thread to post the same UK MP story. I remain in awe of how Trump continues to spew out new absurdities without somehow getting stale. He truly is the Mozart of political buffoonery.

Just to clarify some comments made earlier in this thread, Roseanne Barr apparently does not support Trump. She says that some remarks she made (about Clinton being too much a part of the system and it being good that that system was being challenged) were taken completely out of context. The day after she made those remarks, she wrote:
“i didn’t ‘endorse’ trump, idiots. i endorsed a better election system.” and
“I’m voting for myself, not Trump, idiots”
That sounds much more like the Roseanne I like and respect

In a remarkably apt depiction of the state of his campaign, Trump gave a speech today whilestanding in front of a pile of garbage.
There are no words. There are just no words left for Trump’s buffoonery. When Obama was running in '08 I thought it would be very cool to have an Obama campaign hat, but there was no way I could buy one because it would have been illegal for the campaign to accept $20 from me. But here is a US presidential candidate lobbying foreign politicians for campaign donations! Trump really should have his picture in the dictionary under “idiot”, and he so much looks the part, too, even if he wasn’t wearing a deceased orange marmoset on his head.
Also in the news, Trump described the joyful ebullience over the Leave vote that he witnessed when he arrived in Scotland. Scotland of course had just voted overwhelmingly to Remain, and the Twitterverse erupted in the most eloquent Scottish insults against the stupefying ignorance of the Orange One.
I still don’t think they’ve issued an official statement or tweet or anything about the abortion ruling…
Trump hasn’t tweeted in over 30 hours. They must have taken away his keyboard and cell phone.
Easier to glue his fingers to a tabletop. Wouldn’t take much glue, either.

Was there any connection at all between the site and his speech? Was he praising some new business related to recycling or getting fuel from landfill gases or something?
[The speech was supposedly about trade deals, etc.

Has a presidential candidate ever specifically promised to make people happy before?
He was giving a speech on his trade policies (which are completely out of sync with the Republican party). From what I gathered, the site was supposed to be a factory of some kind.
It is interesting to note that Ole Cheeto Face is now sporting grey hair instead of cartoon yellow hair.
