Both candidates have been on both sides of nearly every issue. The reason it’s not important is because this isn’t an issues campaign. Issues campaigns are what happen when both candidates are well qualified and honorable. When both candidates are morally deficient, you elect the one that is less morally deficient. Who knew that an election about character would benefit a Clinton? But it really does this time around. He strengths have nothing to do with the issues and everything to do with her leadership and competence. She has it, Trump doesn’t. End of story. Be honest now, if Clinton called for bombing Iran and restricting abortions would you vote for Trump?
What a ridiculous question. If Clinton had called for bombing Iran and restricting abortions, I’d vote for the Democratic nominee.
Referencing Trump’s “most corrupt candidate ever” tweet, New York Magazine claims that Trump himself should hold that title:
Well, I meet a lot of people and I’m convinced that the vast majority of wrong-thinking people are right.
Norman?
– I think I’d pay some Dutchmen to set fire to Lord Snowdon…
At this point, it seems pretty evident that Trump exclusively accuses his enemies of things of which he himself is guilty.
That’s the mark of the narcissist: he literally cannot imagine or consider the existence of desires, thoughts, intentions, or motives other than his own.
Il Trumpo is meeting with Tennessee Senator Bob Corker, a potential VP candidate.
I guess Donnie loves a person with common interests - corruption.
He hates the United Auto Workers.
But perhaps the most damning thing, from the point of view of the right, is that Corker signed off on the Iran deal.
So Trump’s father helped Lee Harvey Oswald?
He was just introducing Trump at his rally. I never knew a man could speak so clearly with his lips sewed to Donald’s anus.
Well, thanks a lot for that image.
The Human Trumptipede
So, today at a rally in [del]Nuremberg[/del] North Carolina, Trump praised Saddam Hussein for being “so good” at killing terrorists. Trump credited Hussein for not reading terrorists their rights or even talking to them, but just ruthlessly eliminating them.
In the clip, he starts off making the completely reasonable point that the invasion of Iraq destabilized the region and created a power vacuum which was filled by terrorists. But then he vaults from there to embracing the tactics of a brutal dictator.
Conservative commentator John Podhoretz responded by calling Trump “fucking insane”.
I’m not going to vote for Clinton with a spring in my step. But when the alternative is a real, honest to god fascist, then I think I’m going to have to overlook my misgivings about Clinton.
Scott Walker will be the keynote speaker at the GOP convention.
A partial list of those Republican office holders who will not be attending.
The keynote speaker will be the first guy to drop out of the 2016 primary?
He’s sucking up for the VP spot.
Even better, he specifically dropped out, and called for others to do the same, in order to consolidate their costs and stop Trump.
By the way, the New Yorker has published the best look at Donald Trump’s supporters I’ve yet seen.
Trumps latest ‘free publicity’ stunt. Praises Saddam Hussein for how well he killed terrorists.
Yay for dictators. Boo to the rule of law. Kill them all first, ask questions never.
I have to admit that for sheer amusement, you can’t beat the Trump. I am simply amazed how this guy can trip over his own dick, day after day.
Trump also praises Saddam for gassing the Kurds. “He throws a little gass, everybody goes crazy. It goes back and forth. They were stabilized.”
At least, I think that’s what he’s trying to do. I can’t be sure with his disjointed speech patterns.
