For those of you who want to put Trump’s remarks as a “joke” or a “misspeak”, remember that Paul Manafort helped install the pro-Putin Viktor Yanukovych in power in the Ukraine back in 2010. He fled Ukraine to Russia in 2014 due to a popular uprising.
So do not, for a second, think this is merely “idiocy” or “stupidity.” Trump is doing what Manafort (and, by extension, Putin) has been driving at for years - the annexation of Ukraine by Russia.
If it keeps Ann Coulter from writing anything more on politics, I’m all for it. But I think she’s just teasing us and getting our hopes up.
More seriously, this kind of apocalyptic bullshit just irritates me. Republicans made the same dire predictions if Obama were elected in 2008 or reelected in 2012. It riles up the GOP base but has no basis in reality, and reinforces the “our foes are the Antichrist” doomsday narrative that makes getting anything done in Washington nearly impossible.
She says that it’ll be “lights out for America”. So she’ll be sitting around writing cookbooks while the rest of us are fighting off the zombie hordes or whatever?
You know, speaking totally seriously here, the way Trump speaks is getting worse. He’s angrier and less coherent than ever.
He IS very old. 70. Would be the oldest man ever elected President (for the first time.)

The same thought has crossed my mind, and I’m sure that others are thinking it. Putin, for example.
I think that for the first time in his life, he’s getting serious pushback on his stupid ideas, it’s out in public and he can’t stop it or even control it.
Which is why Putins ally, Paul Manafort, is now running Donald’s campaign.
