The name that jumped out at me was Tom “The Anti-Trump” Ridge: earned medals as an enlisted man, and then got a law degree to work as a prosecutor before spending a dozen years in Congress before serving as Governor before becoming a Cabinet Secretary when the Department of Homeland Security suddenly got created post-9/11.
My apologies if it’s been done already but apparently there’s an IT guy out in the Bay Area who has created an algorithm that spits out random Trumpish tweets – about Trump – and posting them on Reddit.
I guess Tom decided the Threat Level is now orange.
Now, I disagree, even though I would prefer we focus on things Trump does, rather than any of his wives or lovers or pieces of ass. (he said it, not me)
What difference is it though, when we point out that most of the goods he sells under the Trump name come from overseas manufacturers? Just another inconsistency in his long list.
If he opposes illegal activity by immigrants, taking jobs from Americans, then investigating his wife’s immigration method is fair game. Not that anything could be done about it now, the statute of limitations surely having passed.
Is there a link to the actual CBS news report? That doesn’t look like a particularly trustworthy website.
I guess there’s no difference at all except that Trump ties are articles of clothing and Trump’s wife is a human being. No biggie, I guess.
Many people are saying that Alex Rodriguez’s sudden retirement from baseball is due to the imminent release of hacked E-mails showing he’s been carrying on a steamy affair with Hillary Clinton.
Many people being, er, me.
I was starting to worry they’d cut off his thumbs.
These are very fair questions. I see it like this: Trump made a decision not to create American jobs when he could have, and instead chose to make ties in China or whatever. He is literally part of the outsourcing problem in the US.
What should he do about it? Stop shipping jobs overseas. A large number of US companies should do the same.
Alright, in question 2, Trump starts cheating on his wife (I assume, I think he was still married in 1996? But whatever…) with someone who may have been in the country illegally. This lady later adjusts her status and becomes an American citizen.
What should Trump have done? Dumped her? Should he now divorce her? I dunno. Does Mrs. Trump hold the same obligations as millions of Latin American, European, and Asian people in the US with improper immigration status, but have also set down roots here? I think those people generally deserve a path to citizenship, so I can’t get too worked up about calling Trump a hypocrite.
Mostly because if I do get worked up about this, what do I say about the DREAMers? That they should have a path to citizenship that Melania didn’t deserve? If Melania was such a rule breaker, then shouldn’t all these DREAMers be treated harshly?
No. I don’t want to enter into that conversation at all, because it makes my own stance on immigration look as hypocritical as the hypocrisy you wish to accuse Trump of.
There is nothing iffy about Bipartisan Report. But for the reading challenged, the link in the article I posted goes to Inside a Donald Trump audit: Missing books and unusual accounting - CBS News
Maine Senator Susan Collins refuses to vote for Trump. Not supporting Hillary either.
Yup; this pretty much follows his pattern of being “presidential” (i.e., not making ridiculous tweets) for about 3 days, before the dam bursts and Trump Being Trump resumes.
The only CBS link I found in that article (at the very end) was a malformed link that went nowhere. So I did read the article. If there was a link, I missed it and they didn’t make it obvious. After scouring through the source code, it turns out it’s apparently the link for the word “remember.” But thanks for insinuating I didn’t read the article, chief. Anyhow, as a liberal who is unfamiliar with Bipartisan Report, I find their front page article headlines obnoxious and similar in tone to everything I hate about shrill right wing web sites. Hence, my characterization as “not particularly trustworthy.”
What’s this I’m reading about Trump being NAMBLA’s number one financial source? It’s all over the Internet.

I don’t know. Many people are saying he should just release his tax returns, show there is no concern.
Sorry for the double "nm"s. From what I understand, it’s Redditors spoofing Don’s style of made-up accusations against him.
