Donald Trump's 2016 General Election Campaign

I can’t find anything substantial about Wendi Murdoch being Putin’s girlfriend. All there is appears to be a short frenzy of speculation four months ago. Not much of a relationship if it can be kept that low key.

She’s 6 feet, he’s 5-7. I don’t see Putin being towered over like that by a woman.

What, you don’t believe US Weekly or the Daily Beast?

Only if by “truer” you mean historically inaccurate. She pulled the “vast right wing conspiracy” theory out during a 1998 interview with Matt Lauer as part of the explanation as to why all those rumors about Bill and Monica were not true. Just look at the source of those rumors, she claimed, while telling Matt that:
*
“But I think the important thing now is to stand as firmly as I can and say that, you know, the president has denied these allegations [about Lewinsky] on all counts, unequivocally. And we’ll see how this plays out.
I guess everybody says to me, how can you be so calm? Or how can you just, you know, look like you’re not upset? And I guess I’ve just been through it so many times.
I mean, Bill and I have been accused of everything, including murder, by some of the very same people who are behind these allegations. So from my perspective, this is part of the continuing political campaign against my husband.”*

The fact that Bill made himself (and her) such easy targets for the right wing witch hunt, does not invalidate her stating that the witch hunt existed. How many hours and millions of dollars have been invested in “getting the Clintons” over the years, and the best the right wing came up with is that Bill got blowjobs and lied about them.

Which I believe boosted him 10 points in France.

Every powerful politician has political adversaries allied against him. People laughed at the VRCT because Hillary claimed they had made up the allegations about Monica and Bill. It wasn’t clear if she was in on the deceit with Bill, or that he had pulled one over on her. Either way, it made it her look bad, but I think most people assumed it was the former. She ain’t stupid, and it’s not like Bill hadn’t cheated before.

To quote the immortal Spinal Tap, “You, don’t talk so much.” He’s not going to have a prayer of winning unless he shuts up and gets out of the spotlight.

Solitary confinement sounds like a good idea.

Lock him up! Lock him up! Lock him up!

Ah, Carson. I never did pay much attention to him. So I was wrong; we’ve got one Republican for labeling. According to this cite every other Republican candidate (except possibly Carly Fiorina; she isn’t listed) is against labeling. This includes Rubio, btw. It’s hard to guess from Trump’s tweet if he is pro- or anti labeling and he doesn’t have anything (that I can see) on his web site. According to this site he is pro-GMO and anti-labeling (check out the difference between his and Clinton’s response; it’s such a contrast). Hillary is tepidly pro-labeling; she’s pro-GMO (to her credit) but appears to be walking the line gingerly so as to not offend Sanders supporters.

So for Republicans it’s 9-1 against labeling and Democrats 2-0 for GMO labeling. That seems to be a knock against Democrats.

So we agree that there are no conservative groups pushing to get rid of GMO, just liberal ones.

I liken the “teach the controversy” nonsense to the “labeling GMO” nonsense. Both are attempts to sneak anti-science positions into the public arena.

I don’t disagree but you but can you see why I believe opposition to golden rice is more harmful?

Seriously, guys…start your own thread.

Setting aside Murdoch-fucker Wendi Murdoch’s rumored Putin-fucking (that girl should find herself a nice orthodontist, get married, and take up golf) what about the optics of Ivanka taking a vacation in Dubrovnik?

Why wouldn’t she pick a Trump fan-friendly holiday destination, like the Lake of the Ozarks, or riding an inner tube down a river with a can of beer in her hand?

Ok, I’ll stop. But you guys should check out the difference between the responses from Clinton and Trump on this page. It’s Trump’s large words at his best:

Also, Ivanka left her newborn at the kennels back in America while jetting off to party with Wendi in Croatia.

I wouldn’t castigate a normal human being for being willing to do this, but again, is that not anti-Republican values?

I assume these two go everywhere in private jets. How hard would it have been to bring along the baby and a few of the brown nursemaids and locked them up in their own hotel suite, so Ivanka could hold the kid a couple times a day?

If that does’t end his chances of winning, I don’t know what will!!

The Donald unveils his anti-terrorist screening plan:

So, no Trump voters allowed?

“Extreme vetting”. I imagine that’s a bit like “enhanced vetting”. Waterboard them until you’re sure they accept our values.

I note that Trump criticized Obama for leaving power vacuums that allowed militants to thrive. Trump said he’d destroy Islamic terrorism and ISIS and that the era of nation building would come to an end. So… We’ll destroy our enemies and not rebuild in the aftermath. Wouldn’t that leave…a…power…vacuum?

You remember the My Little Pony defense of Melania’s plagiarism? Manafort could use the Cookie Monster defense: Cookie Monster is really hungry. He doesn’t care if his cookies are baked in the Ukraine. He just wants to get as many delicious cookies as he possibly can.

That isn’t even the most chilling part of his plan.

He want to create a commision to root out the networks of radicalization in America.

He could give the commission a name, like, oh I don’t know, like The Protection Squadron.

And once he has identified those who are suspected of wrong-think, they will be eliminated:
