I don’t know. My mom had Alzheimer’s and her incoherent ramblings made more sense than Trump’s.
I’m surprised it wasn’t signed by DR. Spaceman.
Ha! I was just about to say that!
81% of those who were already planning to vote for Trump, it seems.
Has anyone else noticed, the website linked to in Trump’s letter of EXCELLENT health doesn’t even work? haroldbornsteinmd.com leads to a filler site. I did a Whois lookup and it seems it’s owned by WIDE RIGHT DOMAINS LLC now. Poor Harold let the domain expire in January of this year. But it’s in the Wayback Machine and the picture of this guy is just…wowlol
For the love of god, someone tell me that is photoshopped.
So, hey, we can guess that he shares a hairstylist with Trump.
Could be. Although Pence, thrust into the top spot at the last minute, might do better than Trump would, since there are more than a few Republicans who just can’t stand Trump.
That could be dangerous, as Pence is a far-right extremist who could present as a serious candidate. One could only hope that the sheer turmoil would sink the Republican ship for good before Pence could build much support.
The doctor’s letter seems to typify the current Trump campaign as literally unprecedented and practically beyond belief. Trump could not possibly continue to have appeal to anyone with a mental age above seven. Anything could happen, and it doesn’t seem far-fetched, considering Trump’s psychosis and self-serving priorities, that he could just drop out when it becomes clear that there’s no way he could reverse his decline and fall. Much easier to blame crooked Hillary, biased media, and advance knowledge of how rigged the election will be as the reason for dropping out instead of suffering the ignominy of defeat.
If Pence were that formidable a candidate, he wouldn’t have been struggling in his re-election bid in Indiana and he would likely have instead jumped into the Republican primary in 2015.
A not insignificant percentage of Trump’s supporters (likely consisting entirely of non-college-educated whites with a grievance against the establishment) seem to be based on a cult of personality. Pence is basically the midwestern version of Mike Huckabee. Some of the establishment Republicans and culture warriors might come back into the fold, but for those on board the Trump cult of personality, Pence is about as anti-establishment/“shaking things up” as Tim Kaine.
Here’s something I hadn’t realized until tonight. A segment on I believe MSNBC was showing Hillary at a workplace talking to people. Someone noted that you never see Trump do that. Hillary goes to coffee shops, talks to small groups in town halls, etc. but the only time you see Trump is on stage in front of a large audience. You never see him interacting with real people. That certainly can’t help him since the people at his rallies are the true believers and he’s not really expanding his support that way. I’ve heard (you know, people are saying) that he doesn’t like to shake hands. Is he just ignoring that entire part of campaigning?
Trump is going to be the American Independent Party candidate on the California ballot.
Ewan McMullin has not qualified for the California ballot, so, as everybody always does when they fail to follow the rules, he’s going to sue.
It’s probably a confluence of two things.
From Trump’s point of view, he doesn’t need to do this. Why should he get out among the people when the people already love him? Besides that, he’s spent his entire life avoiding those people. That’s why you have your own helicopter and airplane - so that you don’t have to interact with them.
As far as his handlers are considered, there’s no reason to dissuade him of that notion. An unscripted Trump is a dangerous Trump. They just barely managed to convince him to (mostly) use a teleprompter. You can’t have a teleprompter at a diner and Trump is incapable of sticking to a script otherwise.
Trump can’t control the people he might meet outside of a rally. He might be faced with an unfriendly question, one which digs into his many insecurities, and that would be another round of bad press after his inevitable outburst got publicized. Remember, this is a guy who all but calls for his supporters to beat up any non-Trumpling who dares to invade his safe space. He, fundamentally, cannot deal with someone who isn’t on his side, let alone someone who’s trying to get under his skin.
The Trump Campaign’s best move is to keep him on-script and away from any stressors. The Clinton Campaign’s best move, therefore, is to get him out of his safe space and into a context which will trigger another breakdown. A triggered Trump is a Trump with his foot in his mouth up to his knee, and that hurts him more than it helps him in the general election.
Trump actually is a bit of a germophobe, that part is true.
Whoop! Time to change the channel. Looks like the Orangutan will be speaking about Law & Order. Wake me for the lowlights.
It sounds like we need a town hall debate where Orange Bozo has to take pointed questions directly from citizens who happen to have Mexican or Muslim ethnicities.
This is something I’ve been telling people who support him. When is he going to care about his supporters? He simply doesn’t. He riles up the emotions of the ignorant. He wants to change things the way HE LIKES them to be, not the way his supporters NEED them to be, so he won’t be talking to or working for his supporters. For the supporters I’ve told this to, some have said that “he’s rich, so he’s better than us.” Not kidding.
Ugh, I’m watching Orange is the New Dumbass give his Wisconsin Law & Order speech.
He has got to be the least smooth person in the history of teleprompters. He just stares at one and reads until he finishes an entire paragraph, then he pivots directly to the other prompter. Rinse, repeat.
He seems tepid, and crowd does too, He was an hour late starting, and word is it is extremely hot in the venue. I think he is going to go off script at some point if the crowd doesn’t start showing some reaction. He can’t resist the temptation to entertain his crowd.
