Donald Trump's 2016 General Election Campaign

Heh. That was my favorite line, too.

If it means I get to see him turn from orange to chrome, well, yes.

As an Ohioan, I object to the first.

He got better.

No, never mind - he didn’t.

Trump supporters began posting a meme picture of rapper Ice-Cube endorsing Trump. Ice-Cube would have none of it.

Am I the only one who smells rat-fuck? Has the ACORN/OWS/BLM Revolutionary Cadres Alliance learned the value of a good hoax?

Orange County Republicans ran a Trump outreach for Latinos in Anaheim which they billed as “Operation Taco Bowl”.

Also there was former Fox guest Mike Cernovich, who likes to tweet about how date rape doesn’t exist and the only way for women to avoid having AIDS is not to be a slut.

So apparently Trump doesn’t think he needs to prepare for the Presidential debates. This should be interesting:

Of course he hasn’t agreed to appear yet. Whats the bet he’s demanding being paid to be there?

They have agreed on a town hall debate on September 7th, I believe.

Two days prior to the beginning of pretrial motions in Trump’s rape trial (civil charges).

I don’t think he will demand to be paid, but he will indeed make sure he is paid, probably by billing his campaign for travel time, hotel room, the actual debate time, and two new suits.

I still think he will find some way to bail and declare it a win for himself.

First presidential debate (Mon, Sept. 26)
Vice presidential debate (Tues, Oct. 4)
Second presidential debate (Sun, Oct. 9)
Third presidential debate (Wed, Oct. 19)

From here.

(Sorry, forgot link)

Wow, only 10 days away. I wonder how many blatantly false internet facts he will spew at this one?

Dp, sorry

I would love to see how much he is charging the campaign for the usage of his own plane. Instead of going from campaign stop to campaign stop he apparently flies back to NY after each event also increasing the costs. Does the Trump campaign have to publish expenses breakdowns on things like this? Is he breaking any laws if he charges the campaign 3 or 4 times the usual charter rate for a similar plane for using his Trump plane?

Whoever owns Trump’s doctor’s web domain is probably making a fortune. I’m not posting a link but it currently redirects to a site selling something called “Annoying Teddy” which is no doubt an affiliate link. It’s a joke Teddy Bear which starts singing Happy Birthday to You when you press the button and won’t stop until either the battery runs out or you destroy it.

I’m not certain he’s entirely wrong. A line from your link:

“Clinton is reportedly devouring policy and opposition research…”

I am mystified as to why Clinton would research policy to prepare to debate Donald Trump; this is somewhat akin to Muhammad Ali, in his prime, putting a lot of work into his left hook to prepare for a game of chess with a pigeon. It’s neither relevant nor necessary. Clinton knows more about policy in her sleep than Donald Trump does awake, and voters don’t generally notice the details. They make decisions based on emotion and prejudice.

Trump need not know more about policy than enough to make a few zingers. All he has to do is “look Presidential.” What Clinton has to do is make him not look like that, and the nuances of policy won’t help her do that because he will respond with rambling but confident-sounding answers.

Somehow appropriate.

I expect she’s drilling on calm handling of rudeness and lunacy, as much as content. While the content part may not sway Trumpists, it’s still free TV time for her to talk to other Americans, to demonstrate the contrast with him right there.

What else is her campaign going to say? That she’s working on some killer ways to emasculate him on live TV? She’s working on some one-liners that will set off his hair trigger? She’s practicing her needling? This is a presidential debate, so the fact that they say she’s devouring policy research and he isn’t already doesn’t make him look very presidential. She’s doing what she has to do even before the debate begins.

While I’m sure she is doing exactly that, I think that they would report that regardless of whether she’s doing it or not. These kinds of reports are all about projecting an image. Her campaign is projecting an image of competence, thoughtfulness, and responsibility.

Trump’s campaign is apparently trying to project an image of cockiness and off the cuff solutions, things that seem to appeal to his base.

And have GWBridge Christie test it by jumping on it a few times…

Can’t tell. Some turds float, but most are sinkers.
