Donald Trump's 2016 General Election Campaign

The great error that the Union committed after the Civil War was in allowing states’ rights to continue. The 10th Amendment should have been expunged and rewritten so as not to include states’ rights. It wouldn’t be surprising if there actually was another civil war at some point.

There was a Trumpista talking to an increasing irate John Humphries on the (BBC Radio 4) Today programme this morning who kept repeating the phrase “I disagree with your narrative”. Apparently this is the new tack: characterizing disagreements as “my story vs. your story” rather than “my lies vs verifiable reality”.

Wouldn’t it be one minute to noon?

So Trump goes to Mexico, lies about the payment of the wall not being discussed, and then turns his much-anticipated immigration speech into a Klan rally minus the burning cross. Please proceed, con man billionaire. Oops, maybe it’s really millionaire.

Trump’s actually a first-generation American on his mother’s side (she was born in Scotland).

Thing is now all it gets are yawns.

Which gets him off the down 8 ledge but won’t change the long term equilibrium of the race. It doesn’t even excite his core any more. The problem with being a celebrity that sells outrageousness is that you have to keep coming up with new material. This is all so last season. Boring.

I’ve posted this map numerous times. And will continue until people actually look at it.

Red States & Blue States are relevant to the Electoral College but do not reflect the reality of the USA. Even in Texas, cities tend to vote Democratic–sometimes they are surrounded by angry Red Suburbs. We have many Blue Counties down along the Border–light blue because of the low population density, alas. And there’s a Blue streak winding through the Deep South. That’s the Black Belt–named after the fertile soil where cotton thrived & where the descendants of those who planted that cotton still live. (And I think some BLM folks have found reason to march in the “enlightened” parts of the country.)

Of course, your divided USA would leave your section much whiter! Dividing the USA was a bad idea in 1861 & it’s still a bad idea. The divisions in the country are, mostly, not geographic.

CNN Money on the Trump-driven civil war among the conservative commentariat: Conservative media heavyweights at war over Donald Trump

Poppa Frederick’s middle name is fine, however…

Trump says many good(well paid by him) lawyers…

Hillary was born in Illinois, which has only been a state since 1818. So obviously she’s in trouble.

Here’s one that’s scaled for population. I agree with your overall point, but there is a geographic division, it’s just rural/urban rather than north/south/east/west.

This Cracked article analyzes how Trump may accidentally be more heavily influenced by the alt-right then even he realizes. They are just so vocal.

From the CNN link:

See, to me this is further support of Trump’s End Game, which is the birth of his ultra-conservative network. Yeah, he’s still trying to win the Presidency, but even he knows he can’t. And anyway, how much fun would it be to be President, since you can’t (legally) make money off of it? “Trump-driven civil war” among conservative media players sets him up to ride in on his VERY **white **horse and trample the fallen.

Why can’t the Rolling Stones stop Trump from using their music at his rallies? Is it that once you pay your ASCAP fee, you can tell the artist to suck eggs?

Is ‘Sympathy for the Devil’, the campaign theme song?

Reports are swirling that half of Trump’s Latino outreach team are resigning today. 3 have already done so, with another 11,12 expected. The other 15 have remained silent and are not responding to press questions.

All I ever hear is the intro to You Can’t Always Get What You Want. The Stones of course do not support this maniac. But do they have any legal recourse?

That is bad, but one could (using a devil’s advocate hat) make the point that Trump can still be competent. As in a competent leader, but bigoted and racist

But speaking of the mission of this message board, that is not his only big disqualifying quality. Remember how amused Alex Jones was that Trump seemed to follow his musings? It turns out that Alex Jones has the ear of Trump.

We are in big trouble folks. Nothing good can come in giving the power of the presidency to someone that follows woo woo and conspiracy theories. it will only lead to a huge waste of time and American treasure.

And, don’t forget, to deport 12,000,000 Catholics, they will have to be, you know, rounded up and processed. “Processing centers” will be the new way we can avoid saying “concentration camps.”

WaPo has an article about it. Seems the Rolling Stones asked him to stop and Trump refused, thus far.
