Donald Trump's 2016 General Election Campaign

Oh my, the lawyer hired by the man claims the old lady is lying. Welp, case closed!

Hey maybe it happened, maybe it didn’t. But I don’t think the attorney being paid to defend the guy gets the final say here.

Yet more proof that America is broken, and needs a man like Trump to Make It Great Again!

Yes, bad example.

This would be a hell of false equivalence if there was actually any meat to it (another pseudoscandal that has no effect on Clinton’s ability to govern), but there’s really nothing there. This is pretty much SOP when it comes to getting rid of old hardware.

All he needs is a campaign ad where he’s riding a white horse.

Shirtless.

Perhaps something on a Wagnerian theme? “Kill the Wabbit, kill the WABBIT!”

There isn’t enough spray-tan.

Or brain bleach.

I left out the part where his hair is flowing in the wind.

The Wagnerian chant would be “Lock her up! Lock her up!”

I didn’t see this get mentioned in the thread yet:[

Yeah, why didn’t he look at what he was signing? One of his lawyers explains (boding mine):

Well, I’d say he’s not too fucking good at monitoring and keeping control over what’s going on in the company if he isn’t even reading the fucking things he’s signing.

Isn’t that rule #1 of business: “don’t sign anything you haven’t read and understood”?

I predict this news will have no measurable effect on voters. :(

He’s not the only alt-right man who thinks that, either.

It seems that a section of the interview where Trump talks about how much he like to kiss his daughter was edited out of The Dr. Oz Show.
Nothing creepy about that, nosiree.

That’s just it – either he’s corrupt (probably) and/or incompetent (probably). In other words he’s a combination of corrupt and incompetent…but he’s gonna make this country great again.

Sadly, however, I tend to agree that this will get lip glossed by the media, who want the election to be more about entertainment than politics. The media basically allow Trump and the right wing to live in a parallel universe in which they are essentially two truths: a truth based on scientific and measurable fact, and “truth” based on whatever people want to see.

Just this week we have the release of data showing that we’ve had the strongest middle class gains in years. This is on top of a fairly strong economic record over 8 years – certainly stronger than the preceding 8 years. Yet more and more, we have people rejecting it simply by shrugging and claiming that the stats are manipulated by the government. They wouldn’t say that if they were running the government though. Conservative facts are the only reliable facts. Nazism anyone?

Reminds me of the local media during hurricane season. No Houstonian *really *wants a hurricane to hit. There can be serious destruction in our coastal communities & widespread minor damage in the city–leading to long power outages. (A few weeks with no AC?)

But it’s well known that Dan Rather’s career got a boost when he covered Hurricane Carla. Hurricane Ike gave us 24/7 coverage of weather & storm stories, with lots of dramatic air time for the news & weather reporters. (I lost power quite briefly–then had days off with no cable or internet. Lots of broadcast news!)

These reporters are generally sane folks. But they get wild looks in their eyes when a storm enters the Gulf…

He kinda-sorta joked about wanting to date his daughter during an appearance on The View a few years ago, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diMp241gAcw.

No incest issues there, noperoonie.

Just saw this in the Washington Post:

Another lying corrupt c*nt of a politician endorses Trump’s views, calls for building of the wall (cutely calling it “physical barrier”)

It’s usually considered in very poor taste to use terms like “cunt” to describe women. Did she also endorse his rank racism, sexism, and hateful rhetoric?

Trump supporters invade a safe space in a Canadian university, violently wearing offensive baseball caps.

When a politician endorses Trump’s racist calls to build a wall in such a hateful manner, as depicted in the video, “c*nt” is the most appropriate term.

This didn’t happen.

“Cunt” is never the most appropriate term, no matter which side of the aisle you’re on.
