Your article calls it a “meltdown”, but he seemed rather calm and collected in the interview (at least, by normal Trump standards). His answer was far from precise, and probably leaves leftists particularly unsatisfied, but it wasn’t the worst response he has ever given. I guess I might define the word differently than news.groopspeak.com does, and given a quick skim of their other headlines, it seems like par for the course, but I don’t think it was a “meltdown”.
Definitely not a “meltdown”. Flinging insults that he cannot substantiate is as common an occurrence for him as any other form of lying. Not even abnormal. For him, that is.
Exactly. Insulting people and making shit up is simply the Trump default option.
I’m glad he’s a bit up in the polls right now. Nobody who opposes Trump, or backs Hillary, should be at all complacent.
That is a giant reason for me as well. The race thing has nothing to do with it. The tactic of saying if you do not agree you’re racist, is going to launch Trump into the White House.
So, you want more Supremes who’ll agree that Voting Rights should be ignored. That swarthy foreigners should be kept out for having the wrong religion. Or pushed into boxcars for quick deportation.
Nothing at all to do with race!
I’m sure you’d like Roe V Wade overturned, too. Barefoot in the kitchen! Can’t ignore misogyny.

Yup, we don’t want to anger the racist vote!
That is utter non-sense. He, nor I, said that. Stop jumping on the nazi conclusion train.
Well, what Supreme Court decisions do you fear? After repeal of the 2nd Amendment, of course. (Not that Ms Clinton has suggested that.)
Well it’s not a fear as much as I want the country to be steered into a better direction. The second amendment is very important to many many people as well. (Not that Ms Clinton has said that she would directly take it away, but I feel she would try to limit it)
Still kind of vague to me. What are the decisions that you hope a righter-wing Supreme Court would make/uphold that cause you to take such an extreme chance on Trump?
It has to be noticed that Bridget Burke did not mention the Nazis, but you did. I wonder why it seems to be easy to think that when others point at those issues were Republicans appointing judges will be really bad.
To that it has to be also pointed that since Trump will also be a disaster for vaccination efforts and the climate change issue he should not be put in charge of appointing judges that will also decide on those issues. And that is besides him not being worthy of having access to **the **button.
Another thing to notice: Scalia made one of his last votes as a supreme judge to be an attempt to scuttle the new EPA emission controls, his death has spooked a lot of lawyers that expected to have a pro fossil fuel industry judge in place so they are not pressing cases until they get their judge that will rubber stamp their disdain for future generations.
You “feel” that, do you? Based on what?
You know that Republicans are counting on you giving more importance to your feelings than to any other factor, including information, evidence and logic, right?
Look, I get that. I absolutely consider SC appointments as a huge reason to “vote my side”, even though in this case, I’m the opposite side of you.
But I will depart from you in this way. If my party nominated someone that I felt was overwhelmingly unfit for the Presidency, to the point of being a danger in so many ways, I would not support that candidate. Even if it meant I lost a SC nominee or two to the other side.
What good does having a right leaning SC justice do you, if he/she is sitting on cases while the country burns down? I sincerely think Trump is a danger. I think he has potential to destroy our economy, embroil us in multiple wars, alienate the rest of the world, and crush the opportunities of every minority and non-WASP, non-rich person in the country.
Who cares who the SC justices are at that point? If my party nominated the left wing version of Trump (and no, Hillary is not), I would not support them. I still love my country more than I love my party.
You should then simply say that you’re willing to align yourself with nasty disgusting racists who will damage the entire country, as long as you will then get your way for court nominations.
At least then you’ll be honest with yourself about the price you’re willing to pay.
They “feel” that ISIS is everywhere.
They “feel” that having guns makes them safer.
They “feel” that Hillary started the birther BS.
They “feel” that Obama isn’t quite American.
They “feel” that on and on and on.
Really, couldn’t we just substitute the word “fear” for feel? The one hardcore Trump supporter I know personally has multiple guns, a super alarm system, surveillance cameras, safes, and a bug-out bag. And lives 35 miles away from work because “it’s safer out there away from the city.” He is really just a pussy, when you get right down to it.
Another reason I feel I am going to vote for Trump is all of you elitists. Judgmental elitists. Not the side I wanna be on. I always heard that said about the right, but this board has shown me it is far more predominant on the left.
You think Trump supporters are not judgmental?
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
There’s another word: Elitist. You want to say liberal, open-minded, well-informed people, but elitist is easier.
DEF: a person who believes that a system or society should be ruled or dominated by an elite.
synonyms: aristocrat, blue blood; snob
Sounds like elitist fits Trumpy Wumpy better than us.
What if I’m not convinced a Trump presidency is going to be as bad for the country as you … “fear” … it will be?
I think it’s unlikely he embroiled us in any more wars than Bush and Obama have. I think the economy will still be puttering along in 8 years, regardless of who we elect. Oh, maybe it’d be a point or two better or worse, but largely the same. As for alienating the rest of the world, I’m skeptical. After 8 years of a Trump presidency, I suspect we’ll still be friends with Israel, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, etc. I suspect North Korea would still hate our guts at the end of a Clinton presidency too.
I suspect there will still be minorities that are working and scratching to get ahead in life, and some of them will still succeed, and some will fail, a lot like now.
Well, I am sure you’ll get a few people surprised you’d rather be on the side with the white supremesists rather than associate with elitists. Either way though, it’s a pretty silly way to decide which person would be a better President. In fact, it’s sidestepping that question altogether and voting on which fan club you like more. Not even the team, the fan club for god’s sake.
Think what you will. I have no issues with liberals. However the liberal views of this board are very elitist. The people jump straight to name calling and it is horrid behavior.
