No, he’s race baiting. I am just saying that some people might think that’s a lesser evil than someone willing to risk national security because she doesn’t want to carry two phones while getting sketchy people donating to the family foundation fund.
Sure, because Trump has shown he’s Waaaay more on top of proper security protocols, he’s very aware of not speaking before knowing all the facts, and we can see that Trump would NEVER deal with sketchy people.
I want some of what you’re smoking.
And I’m saying that that people are just being baited by the “scandal”. Even in this message board it is clear that a lot of what they are being fed about that issueis false.
IMHO most will then figure out that they were misled by their leaders on what the consequences are, just like in many previous Clinton scandals, it will happen the moment they find out they were lied about being assured by many on the right that Hillary was going to prison for that.
So, while some will continue to be manipulated into voting against their own interests it should not be missed that Trump is only looking for his. I still think that one thing that should had already made many to dismiss Trump is that he has a huge conflict of interest by already being on record of looking to remove the inheritance tax and to lower his taxes also.
So I do think that that will be more harmful to America than a scandal where there is no good evidence that actual harm or wilful transfer of secrets was made, and on top of that there is really no chance that she would be allowed to do the same in the future and she has admitted her mistake. What Trump has promised to do will be more harmful to our security indeed.
Perhaps this will be the year that “paraleipsis” (Trump’s favorite verbal tactic) finally makes it into the national consciousness as an everyday, familiar term.
(I would be amazed if the record shows Trump having gotten through even one speech without using a paraleipsis.)
Is Trump actually attacking the LP ticket? That’s insane. Why would he give them that kind of free exposure?
His instinct to attack those he considers a threat has clearly overpowered whatever reasoning ability he possesses (which would counsel him to avoid giving them free publicity).
The take-away is that he considers them to be a threat.
(Personally I’d be interested in the background of Unlikely Male Stripper-Guy. Is he a Trump fan? Because his act went a long way in undercutting any 'look at us, we’re a reputable Political Party announcing a Serious Presidential Bid’ message that the Libertarians may have hoped to get across.)
Trump supporter takes a stroll through his town… As one could expect, violence, hatred, bigotry… All’s on display here…
What’s the connect between this video and considering voting for Trump?
Well, the video nicely illustrates the qualities of both Trump supporters and Trump opponents…
We’re more concerned about the quality of Trump.
You’re not concerned about the behavior displayed in the video in question?
Well, it is nutpicking alright.
Watching this video does remind one of nazi-era footage --a hawling pack of refuse ( calling them people would be giving them too much credit) assaults a human, who dares to be different and openly expresses his political views.
Well, again it is nutpicking alright.
And besides the nuts I also noticed that protesters (that you are calling refuse too) also protected him and one even brought his hat back. I only have to say I do not know why this guy was there trolling around or what he had said to the crowd before he walked through it so I also can say that while I do not condone what some did there I can congratulate the many that did not behave like that and only used words while at the same time I can also think that there is a lot missing that would show the Trump supporter in a bad light.
I too am shocked by this video showing an apparently senile old man innocently trying to walk through his town accidently stumbling into a protest while wearing the headwear of the person they are protesting. What bad luck. Where were the people who should be watching this helpless man?
You’re right about the pack mentality. People can act horribly in a pack. There’s really no reason to doubt it and people don’t act like people in that situation. The main takeaway of the video is that water is indeed wet. Great observation.
What this man did, however is to put police and innocent people at risk by agitating a hostile crowd against him. It’s ok if you want to sacrifice yourself but it’s shitty to risk the lives of innocent people. Were I to think he did that on purpose then I would refuse to credit him with being a person either and he doesn’t have the excuse of mob mentality to fall back on.
The clip does remind me of nazi era footage though. This would fit right in with Joe Goebbel’s propoganda masterpieces.
Not being able to exercise a right due to the threat of violence from a imbecilic mob? The so-called heckler’s veto is very dangerous to promote. Shame the left is so practiced at it.
Can you quote were we supported that? You are only demonstrating why nutpicking is used. So one should not forget what many (that do not condone what a few did in the video) are protesting against:

Obviously it’s not all the left or the members of SDMB. But it’s undeniable that the war against free speech in the modern era is waged by the left.
The reality is that if some twits had not used some violence the other video would be an example of free speech from the ones opposed to that troll also. The right of making questionable speech does not curtail the right of others to let them know that they are supporting a disaster that will only lead to more divisions in America.
So actually clicked the link … looked like a middle aged guy looking to provoke something mostly just followed as an oddity with the only assault being him pushing someone. The worst done to him that I saw was some doofus grabbing his hat (which someone else chased down and returned to him). Otherwise him shouting and others shouting back.
But let’s play it as a hypothetical because we’ve had the threads - there are some who are against Trump who have been way out of line and mostly Clinton and even Sanders supporters here have been united in condemning those actions. The issue is however how the candidate responds. Trump had offered to pay the legal bills of anyone who assaults his hecklers and encouraged his supporters to knock the crap out of them. Has Clinton similarly encouraged violent actions?
That is the issue.
