Desperation. Underneath it all, Trump knows he lacks the intelligence and experience to keep up with a decent debater. If he can’t win on intellectual grounds, the last he can do his make his opponent uncomfortable. Count on Trump using as much dirty pool as he can get away with.

Nah, it was just Trump being Trump. He is simply incapable of not retaliating when he feels like someone is “attacking” him. Bringing Cuban was an attempt to insult him so he threw out what he thought was an insult back, there is no point in actually following through.
I imagine that what happened was one of Trump’s midnight tweets, “I’m a-gonna invite GENNIFER FLOWERS!”
Flowers’s people (does she still have people? What do they do all day?) immediately responded with “Ms. Flowers will be DELIGHTED TO ATTEND!”
Conway woke up this morning: “Oh my GOD! He said WHAT? Can’t I even get a lousy FOUR HOURS of sleep? Tell the press there was NO INVITATION. And give that moron Pence some excuse to blather to the Fox people.”

Apparently you don’t realize the grand irony that it was the Clinton machine that first invited someone to be in the crowd to get Trump uncomfortable…
And Trump rose to the bait. That speaks directly to his temperament.

I can see that Trump perceived it as such, what with his paper thin skin and all, but really, no, Cuban scoring a ticket if requested would be pretty much what campaigns do with the blocks of tickets they have to give out. They are used as tokens of appreciation to important donors, fundraisers, and surrogates … and in today’s world a few also raffled off on a lottery basis to lower level donors too: “Chip in $100 to be automatically entered for the chance to win a trip to the first presidential debate”
He’s a high level donor-fundraiser-surrogate. OF COURSE he gets a ticket if he wants it. Reading that as an insult to Trump is silly.

Ms Flowers was not invited, Trump unsaid that. Unsaying something means it was never said.
The irony is that if it were a reality TV show, the Networks would have jettisoned Trump long ago for any one of a dozen comments considered politically incorrect. It would seem that the Presidential election has lower standards than most reality TV shows.
Also speaks to how well he thinks things through - I know a fair number of conservative Republican ladies, and they don’t think highly of Hillary Clinton as a general rule. However, even the ones who don’t have one single other nice thing to say about her all have some grudging respect for her standing by her cheating horndog man. (It’s the liberals I know who think she ought to have tossed him out on his ass, but they’re going to vote for her anyway.) So this would have done nothing but gained her sympathy among a voting bloc she critically needs.
If Mark Cuban is into whores then he can afford better.
The new TNN (Trump News Network) will have no standards at all— gloves off, no political correctness, every group (except white male gun owners) will be fair game. And I predict ratings will be off the chart.
I predict they won’t just slant the news (ala Fox News). They’ll fabricate complete stories, and then accuse other media of being liars.
