Donald Trump's 2016 General Election Campaign

I think an endorsement from a paper that normally supports your party anyway (an expected endorsement) does very little. But I suspect some of the ones this year may carry a little extra weight. Imagine if you will, a newspaper that has endorsed a Republican for president **every single year since your great-grandfather was born **that says the following:

Was he the black guy on The Mod Squad?

The real story? Trump is a fucking bullshit artist, who lies about pretty much anything and everything. If he told me it was currently sunny out, I’d put on a raincoat.

That was his grandson.

Immediately after saying in the debate that not paying taxes was smart, Trump denies saying it.

Trump keeps saying that he won the CBS poll on the debate. CBS didn’t do a poll.

Wrong CBS. He’s referring to the Constant BullShit poll.

But he DOESN’T know the TERRITORY!

Well, a CBS affiliate did do an online poll, so there is at least a grain of truth in that, which is better than he usually does.

I wish people would stop calling these things “polls”.

They are click-bait online surveys, that are not designed to reveal anything of any accuracy or value.

Trains lurches under braking for the station

He’s just a bang-beat, bell-ringing, big-haul, great-go, neck-or-nothing, rip-roarin’, every-time-a bull’s-eye salesman.

Eric Trump will never forget his father’s courage for not bringing up Bill’s infidelities.

He should do it in the next debates. I bet Clinton is totally, absolutely unprepared for any such attack! Really! Don’t worry about your failed marriages Donald - I bet these never come up.

“I’m so proud of my dad for suppressing his usual instinct to be a scumbag. I’ll never forget that moment.”

"Bill: Nah, there weren’t really eighty-eight of them. They just called themselves “The Crazy 88.”

“I felt like I was watching the political Titanic hit the iceberg, back up, and hit it again. Just for fun.”

It appears you may be right. An article in Time says that unexpected endorsement may matter. The article refers to this National Bureau of Economic Research study.

I would suggest a slightly different response than directly mentioning his failed messages though. More along the lines of “I know Donald seemed to enjoy his love life being dragged through the tabloids back then but I’m not like him. I’m not going to drag out 20 years old lowpoints in my marriage”.
