Trump lost the Puerto Rico primary over the weekend. Marco Rubio, who wasn’t even running, got 74% of the vote.
Lindsey Graham urges those who have endorsed Trump to rescind their endorsements, calling Trump’s attacks on Judge Curiel “the most un-American thing from a politician since Joe McCarthy”.
Yeah, but calling it “The Race” is problematic, no? How is “The Race” not racist?
Their problem is not his losing Hispanic share, but the Hispanic share getting bigger as those not registered flock to register and to vote. If more same white Republican voters stay home, they are screwed for down ticket races also.
Well, the conservatives at RedState clearly see Trump as the racist, and the “La Raza” item. Not so much.
As for the attempt at making “la raza” to be problematic, it is mostly problematic all right, but mostly for the ones that also have the vapors when seeing words like “Colored” in the NAACP, that some nuts are abusing of it does not remove the history behind “La Raza.”
Here is Gustavo Arellano from “Ask a Mexican”:
One warning: He is offensive to many conservatives that continue to be ignorant in the rest of the article.
Play with that 538 app … few states flip even if Hispanic turnout and share both increase significantly and the impact can be more than offset if in return non-college educated White turnout and share increases on the other side.
Trump lets it slip on O’Reilly that Fox News feeds him the questions he is to be asked on their shows.

RE: Gigo’s post
Well, shit! I thought gabacho mean smart and handsome, like pendejo!
That article is wrong. The Republican primary was in March.
There’s a bunch of sites reporting the same story. Obviously, someone somehow dug up old news and in their zeal to be topical, the others went like dominoes.
Stop citing OccupyDemocrats. They’re phenomenally inaccurate.
Some news websites put the results from both primaries side by side on their live results pages, and I think people aren’t noticing the different dates. It also happened after the Kentucky Democratic Primary.
[Bob Uecker] “Juust a little bit outside.” [/BU]
“Racism” has always been a very ambiguous word. I’d avoid the term altogether except in the most blatant and egregious cases.
Is it racist for Hispanics to call each other Hispanic?
IIRC, in other threads you’ve defended whites from well-founded charges of “racism.” Now you accuse Hispanics of “racism” just for self-identifying?
Double-standard much?
You made me click a link just to see 71% instead of 74%?? Why not write “71%” in your post if that minor difference was oh-so-very important to you? :smack:
I know it’s a big effort to click on links, but the date is the more important difference.:smack::mad::smack::mad::smack:
To save people clicking, the GOP Puerto Rico primary was held on Mar. 6.
Thank you, Johnny Ace. Lord Feldon was so eager to show his snark and icon-clicking skill he culdn’t be bothered to omit the very error I complained of. ::appropriate icon::
Yeah, it was the date. But seriously, as a matter of principle, there have been a bunch of hard-left pseudojournalistic blogs popping up lately - OccupyDemocrats, IfYouOnlyNews, AddictingInfo… They seem to be related somehow, and they’re all garbage. Their fact-checking is virtually non-existent. Half the times it seems like their “news” is completely made up, and the other half, it’s given the most blatantly dishonest partisan spin I’ve seen on the left since Michael Moore.
Everybody stop citing these guys. Just stop it. Stop sharing them on facebook, stop clicking on the links, stop giving them traffic. Not only are we better than this, but we don’t need to make shit up about our opponents! It’s DONALD FUCKIN’ TRUMP!
