Well, sure. He could have been quaking in his boots and looking ready to cry and they would have seen him in a heroic light. But I think it’s going to be enough of a reality check for those on the margins that at least some percentage of them are going to defect. The rabble who want the country to fail will stick with him until he’s dead.
That’s the problem – he DIDN’T look “ready to cry”. That wouldn’t have been as effective a tool as his Defiant Ones pose is.
You can say they’d support him, no matter what, but I don’t think a Cowardly Lion image would be as effective in fundraising and rallying.
You can put anything on a t-shirt and sell it. If I want to sell a mugshot t-shirt, I can have a professional come to my house, have a real/digital background, and make it awesome looking; or alter the real one to make it awesome looking, or both. Then sell it. He’s not stuck with the official mugshot.
He looks balding.
I’m surprised his people didn’t try to fix it.

I was surprised that a couple of the mugshots from this case seemed like they were shot from above. Just really different than what I’d expect from my limited experience viewing mugshots.
Cheeto’s mug is like so many other things, where different groups of people view it completely differently, and can’t imagine the other group’s interpretation. MAN, I hope he loses next fall and we can start to move away from him, but that is going to be a LONG 15 months!

One individual familiar with the booking of a co-defendant in the case said the person’s fingerprints and irises were scanned electronically. But the individual said the sheriff’s staff did not ask for the defendant’s height or weight, nor was the person asked to step on a scale. Those numbers did appear on that person’s booking record, but they didn’t match the person’s profile, or their driver’s license, and the individual has no idea where they came from.

Agreed and I felt the same way as soon as I saw it. Everyone was hoping for an embarrassing mugshot with him looking like a fat, haggard, defeated slob, but he got an unusually flattering picture that his supporters are going to think makes him look cool and dangerous. This mugshot is a huge boon to his campaign and it would have been better off to not release a mugshot at all.
Except that, without the very easily removed label, it doesn’t look anything like a mugshot. Most people don’t have the advantage or time to have makeup applied and hair done by professionals while having a long, leisurely drive to the police station.
Trump has taller height and lower weight and you somehow think that’s “not his choice”???
I see it as significant evidence that he DID have input into this.

If we ever get to a point where legislation is under consideration to reduce the chances of a future Trump, I think outlawing NDA’s should be part of it. It should not be possible to contract around the first amendment.
They didn’t measure his height and they didn’t weigh him. Do we know for a fact that they actually photographed him and not just accepted a photo? The lighting just seems off for a mugshot.
Well, I just guessing from the article, but as I think about it, I’d have no trouble believing Ht and Wt are left over from before rapid dissemination of prints and photos was standard, and that they still fill in the form, but no one notices or cares much what it says.
