Is this uncommon? The library I worked at in 1998 did(and still does). Just a local public library, too, nothing special.
Extremely uncommon. A library carrying console games is even more rare. And a library that carries Mature-rated console games is more or less a fairy tale.
My library carries Mature rated games. Here’s Splinter Cell:Conviction. They’ve got Red Dead Redemption, Assassins Creed 2, and some others as well.
There is no way my stodgy-ass city would ever use tax money to buy video games, especially violent ones. One of our columnists (in a column about how wearing jeans is “infantile”) even subtly suggests that people who play video games shouldn’t be allowed to vote. Unfortunately, he’s not the only one who feels that way. Bunch of old fogies.
We have a big, awesome library (something like 16 branches, including a 5-story behemoth downtown), but they don’t carry video games :(.
Really? Speed-runs as well? I’m on the forest level with almost everything… no speed-runs though.
