Spare a thought for the poor Chinese. They may not have to change their clocks, but by political policy a single time zone is imposed across the entire country, which had five time zones before the civil war. I think individual localities must impose their own time zones unofficially, but I wonder if government workers all have to conform to the Beijing standard of GMT+8.
