Don't hurt yourself in the MMP!!!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.
It’s Gordie’s 13thish Birthday/Gotcha Day today.

Ouch. Feel better Leaffan!

Happy birthday Gordie!

We love you man!

I think Comcast’s email crew are having a double bad not good morning. Multiple devices are reporting their email server is borked.

Back in Taiwan. I got really tired this trip. I don’t want to go anywhere for a while.

Per Comcast’s chat, they are doing upgrades to their email servers. Last email I got was 1330 yesterday, so methinks somebody/something screwed up.

Happy Hump Day!

Happy Birthday Gordie!

It’s overcast and wet outside, 41 degrees, going up to 52.

Ripple is off to daycare, so I get to get some things done without his help.

Since we are talking about house problems.
The ceiling in BFF2’s house collapsed on Christmas morning. It seems that houses built between the 60’s and the 80’s can have spontaneous ceiling collaspe. Her insurance company won’t cover it although from what I understand it should.

Then get one of these & time will fly!

If you’re shoes fit like gloves you’re putting them on the wrong appendages. :o :smack:
Doggio, are you giving him an invisible mole person as a b-day gift?

Happy birthday to Gordie!!! The ice storm wasn’t as bad as predicted, thank God. I left work about 5:15 and my rear windshield was glazed. It was a bit of a white knuckle drive home. Then it rained, so I think the worst passed us. Tomorrow a high of 43, then Firday the whole thing goes back to h#ll with a high of 12. Winter, please leave.

You forget — I’m in a tough neighborhood. What I really need is one of like this !
And the doorbell just rang and it was the postman delivering my newest old meat cleaver!!! <insert happy dance here> I finally found a Russell at a price I consider reasonable and now its mine; all mine!

Happy birthday, Gordie!

It looks like my mom’s business/my second job is going to close. She has one staff member that has been making everyone miserable, but she’s the medical billing person, and the business can’t run without her. Literally, they cannot bill anyone without her doing the billing, and if they can’t bill they can’t stay open. Everyone finally told her off yesterday and she walked out… but the business can’t stay open if she’s not there. My mom is trying to figure out if there’s a way to keep it afloat until she can hire and train a new biller… like maybe if the electronic medical records company has people who will process the codes and submit payment. At this point, though, she’s just ready to say f*** it and close the business and work for someone else for the next decade until she can retire. (She’s gotta push back that retirement since she put so much money into the business and my dad is disabled.)

I don’t work in the location physically; I work remotely for them doing social media/marketing/web design. So I’m not in the drama. It’s only $50 per week that I make, but that’s still $2600 per year that I’m going to lose if they close. It’s nothing compared to my mom who will lose a ton more and the people who work there full time. But it still sucks.

I was able to finally get mail just a few minutes ago. It had last updated yesterday at 10 am ish.

Happy Doggie B-Day Gordo!

Juliet, hope things work out for your Mom, sounds like a bad deal all around.

ruble, this fascination with meat cleavers is…

Sari, on your BFF’s house. Can’t comprehend insurance not covering something catastrophic as a roof collapse, so hope it works out for them.

Alien, good luck with the e-mail, TB, take it easy, and wetone, don’t be sliding on the ice.

Still in the mid-60’s here in N. Ali-bama, but feels cooler than yesterday in the house. Not much on the schedule for Wednesday, need to get e-mails out for the last indoor soccer weekend sometime today, but no trips outside are scheduled.

I forgot to mention…

As I said, I thawed the hummingbird nectar, warmed it (with some more nectar), and put it into a warmed feeder. When I hung it up, a hummingbird hovered less than a foot from my hand and then alit as soon as I was clear.

Today marks 21 months since I quit smoking. So proud of myself.

Irking as usual. I think I shall dip out early today just because I can. Not much going on for me. I was checking out a new travel website that DOD just launched. There are some really good deals there and is a one stop shop for eligible patrons. As an agent I have a special log on since I am not military.

Happy Hump day all!

Good job, Butters!! Breaking the addiction is tough, or so I’ve heard. I know my dad quit several times before he finally succeeded, so YAAAAAAAAY for you!!

OK, back to work. My eyes are starting to cross. Whew!

Evenin’ all. Still enjoying the irk placement; it’s a really interesting place with nice, smart and interesting staff. Not enjoying the 40+ mile commute so much, mind…

bark bark awooooh bark woof! [translation: happy birthday Gordie!]
Assorted hugs, yays and troutslaps, to be administered as required.

Considering some of my other fascinations … never mind.

Oh well, off to irk a couple posts too soon.

Howdy Y’all! Today I learned how to clean an ice machine. I also hauled the biiiiiiiiiig trash cans at the church house down to the road for pickup tomorrow. I am also playin’ phone/text/email tag with a roofin’ company and the lawn guy that does the fire ant control at the church house. Also, I purchased tp, paper towels, and trash bags for the church. Around all that I managed to lay in provisions and make sup. I’ve been a bzzy bear today! Now I have to remember to go haul the trash cans back and turn the ice maker back on Firday mornin’. Ain’t goin’ over to the church house tomorrow. Been there four days in a row already this week. Noticed some discolored tiles in the ceilin’ of the Parish Hall. This leads me to believe there could be a leak in the metal roof. I know nuttin’ about metal roofs but I reckon I shall get learnt up on the subject.

Happy Birthday Gordie!

Feel better soonest Leaffan

TB glad you’re back home. Rest up.

Juliet sorry about your mom’s bidness. Hope everything works out for the best all around.

Alien yay for email that works again!

Spidey I think I need that clock.

Butters congrats on your non-smoke anniversary!

WetOne no free form ice skatin’ OK?

Ruble yay for new to you meat cleaver. Should we monitor for news of homicides in your area? :stuck_out_tongue:

Nuts glad the irk experience is still goin’ well.

Sari yikes about your friend’s ceilin’!

Everyone else, yays, boos, hugs, trouts, chitlins, smooches, how you doin’s all around as needed.

Should I be so childish and juvenile as to see if’n this is the first post on page three? Aw, heck, why not!

ETA: Oh well, I set it up for the next poster then. I’m nice like that.
