I binged at work today. On sugar and caffeine. Good times.
It’s kinda weird - there used to be only one person at work who could pronounce my name correctly. Most people pronounced it the French way. But recently, a few other people have started pronouncing my name correctly. After having been used to the way people pronounced it before, it seems a little odd to me. Not bad, just a little odd. :rolleyes: Yeah, I’m weird. 
Tempura last night, and (shudder) Hamburger Helper tonight.
Life is a rollercoaster.

All y’all make me feel so lazy because y’all cook fantastic dinners and we usually order pizza.
Of course having to share a kitchen and having a picky kid doesn’t help either but I feel downright lazy.

I’ve never had Hamburger Helper. My mom thought it was a cop out and made better skillet casseroles from scratch.

I started making Hamburger Helper, then replaced and added till I ended up with a scratched made casserole.

I don’t think we still have any actual card readers or punches left, but we use JCL (job control language) cards on a daily basis. They may be virtual, but we still call them cards.
Speaking of mainframes, I’m back at work now. Oh yay.
I remember JCL and having to code the actual address of a file in the JCL - and the mess it made if you transposed a number or two. The good old days of coding on a form and sending it off to keypunch and getting the operator who always typed perfrom instead of perform, and when you heard a thump and then loud burst of expletives it meant that somebody somewhere dropped their deck of cards. Having to modify the program with a bunch of ‘alter go to’ commands, geez I can’t believe I remember all that stuff.
My throat has decided to hurt the worst in the middle of the night and then subside within an hour of time to get up in the morning. Then, just for fun, it hurts really bad when I yawn which happens all the time because I’m so damn tired from being awake half the night!

I like HH from time to time myself. I so make a pretty dang good one from scratch however and really it does not take anymore time.
DeathMistress I know the feelin’. I’m off and on happy with irk myself as of late and am makin’ some applications just to see what might be out there. Hope it gets better soonest or you find another job that makes you happier.
