Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23

Funnily enough, they did say “bitch” on the show - I guess they just don’t want that word in the title of a show.

I guess I’ll echo the others who said it was better than expected. Especially The Beek.

He was in an all-white cast of Raisin in the Sun and that Ke$ha video, dammit, and all people want him to do is be Dawson. Poor guy.

Yeah, plus it rhymes when you say “B” instead.

Weirdly, ABC has a second series, GCB, that also avoids the word bitches in the title.

I thought it was terrible! It’s like someone is trying to make a parody of Two Broke Girls, and has intentionally removed every milligram of chemistry between the two lead actresses.

I watched it just to see Krysten Ritter. I first saw her in that forgettable sitcom 'Til Death and she was the best thing on that show. Later she was great in Breaking Bad. Such a range of talent! I’m not sure this latest Apt 23 show is the best vehicle for her, but I still like watching her work. Oh, can’t stand 2 Broke Girls or New Girl.

Perhaps this is so they can advertise it during earlier timeslots when they might want to keep the language cleaner?

I watched it, I’m not so sure about it.

Quirky gets old fast, I thought Van Der Beek was the funniest part of the show even though know nothing about him other than he was on some teen show.

It’s definitely edgy, with the ottoman being full of drugs.

But they call it “Good Christian Belles” I don’t think the network actually referrers to it as Good Christian Bitches. But that seemed odd to me anyways since I don’t usually thing of Belles as being from Texas.

…like mentioned above by tim314; I would bet that they don’t want ‘bitch’ in the title because then they’re limited on when they could advertise it.

Oh man, she wouldn’t last ONE DAY on the creek!

It is however, based on the book “Good Christian Bitches”

I’m aware of that, but only because I heard it here. I’d wager that a lot of people that watch it (all 4 of us) probably don’t realize it’s based on a book. Hell, I’d guess most people don’t know what GCB is supposed to stand for to begin with.

Well, it appears that I am resurrecting this thread from a few months back.

I have watched a few episodes, and I am fairly impressed with the show.
My favorite episode so far has been “Parent Trap”, with June attempting (and failing) parenthood after Chloe abdicates all responsibility for the foster child that she adopted so that she could have an “assistant”. Hilarious!

Ironically one of the best episodes is a direct reference to Two Broke Girls, with a hilarious twist.
