Okay dammit, I’ve tried to post this about 3 times now and I have to keep re-typing it each time. So here we go, short and sweet:
Why, why, WHY does it take men so long to do their business??
That’s quality me-time.
On the throne, you’re your own boss, there are no bills to pay, no gutters to clean, no grass to mow. There are no noisy mufflers to replace, no kids to jump on you, no reports to file, and there’s no war on terror.
It’s just a time for me to collect my thoughts, relax and maybe read a magazine.
And witness the power of suggestion…

Because it’s extremely relaxing being in a sitting position, enjoying completely privacy, with a good piece of literature. That is it. Actual business takes around the same time (one presumes; and excluding medical conditions which really aren’t necessary to delve into) and is often not the prime concern.
And, really, I find it rather amazing that this question is asked so much, considering it’s equally possible to ask “why do women spend so long in PUBLIC toilets TOGETHER?”.
Well, I reserve exclusive rights to ask this question because I do NOT do the group bathroom thing, nor do I spend countless hours in front of the mirror. So there.
