In doom3 there is a slight delay between movement of the mouse and response on the screen.
My mouse is cordless but in every other app it’s response time is excelent/instant.
The framerate for doom3 is acceptable.
Other users of doom3 claim not to have this problem.
I can find nothing in doom3’s options screens that might solve this.
I have the same problem with FarCry but not with any other game.
Anyone else experiencing this problem? Any ideas on how to solve it?
I’m using a wireless mouse/keyboard but i have no problem at all with lag. It must be your new laptop 
I had this problem some time ago with Half-Life immediately after changing to a USB mouse. I changed back to a PS/2 mouse and the problem went away; I’ve not had the problem since then, on other computers no matter what kind of mouse was used.
I’d suspect your mouse drivers or the Windows helper interface to your mouse, try reinstalling or finding the latest drivers, or investigate the Mouse settings in your Control Panel and play around a bit.
