This story does not make sense. DD CS would not call you saying the driver claimed to have delivered it and you’re trying to scam him. The driver wouldve claimed he cancelled the order and left. Why would he claim he delivered or CS say he did when he didnt click pickup since other drivers showed up as you yourself point out??

I’ve thought about this a few times since this happened, and I’ve come up with what I think is a better explanation than “the driver stole my pizza”.
I think what happened was that a driver came in for a different order, and somehow my pizza got included with that order. Then another driver came in to pick up my pizza but there was no pizza to pick up. That’s probably when DD customer service got involved.
That would explain the multiple drivers coming in trying to pick up an order that wasn’t there. That would explain why the line for my pizza on the checkout sheet was only partially filled out. It might even explain a driver claiming that they did deliver the pizza, because they did… to someone else!
Somebody got a free pizza that night but I don’t think it was a Door Dash driver. I think it was another Pizza Hut customer.
