People have met here first and then married. Life being what it is, some of these couples must have divorced.
So, who got custody of the Dope, and how? Or why?
(I’m sure there must be lots of incidences that everyone else knows all about, but I am hopeless with gossip)
The one Doper couple I know who met through here that have divorced, both sort of left the boards. I suppose neither of them got custody, since they left the boards before they divorced.
I think the only Doper couple I know left the boards before they got divorced. I could ask her tomorrow when I talk to her but she probably doesn’t want all that info out here.
ETA: Gingy, are we talking about the same people? I get a feeling we are…

Though they didn’t meet here, I know we’ve had a few couples who kept posting here after they divorced. If both people are mature enough to avoid posting things to provoke or hurt the other person, then I don’t see why they can’t both stay here. It is a large enough site that you can avoid interacting with someone if you don’t want to and still have things to read from other people.

My husband posted here very shortly under the name FunLvnCriminal. When we divorced I kept the Dope. I had been here longer and cared to keep it more. For all I know he still lurks but I doubt it.
We did not meet here, however. I brought him to the Dope so it only made sense I got to keep it. Through all of my childish anger I did actually manage to keep it off the board. So that’s a little personal feather in my cap, I guess.
Oh yeah, :smack: o’course.(finds "Brainwash Gingy’s children on his to-do list and highlights it) Then again I knew SqrlCub and… damn if I can remember his user name now… from the Dope before I met them; don’t remember if RTF’s wife is a Doper or not. So obviously I know more than one Doper couple.
My ex-wife posted here briefly, years ago, but it was never a regular haunt for her like it is for me. We never discussed it officially, but before we split up I told her I’d be returning here in search of something like a support network (I’d been away from the Dope for a couple of years).
dcnewsman, and no Mrs. RTF is not a doper. Unless she’s in stealth mode.
